OK....it must be an imbedded image? Something at my work is blocking it.

PhantomStranger,
If ALL Amazon does is match the prices of B&Ms so I don't have to - Use up gas - endure traffic - pay sales tax - avoid crowd hassles - waste my time hoping some item might be there I'll be in that large group of customers that will be pretty happy with them. |
Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
Amazon only PMs some of the deals, and the only way I find out which titles is if I check deal threads and other people post those titles. I have no idea how others discover the unadvertised price drops or PMs on Amazon unless they are frequently monitoring certain titles and refreshing their browsers (which I don't have time to do).

Put what you want in your amazon cart, then you only have to occasionally refresh that page as it notifies you of price drops.

Thank god, Louie Season 2 FINALLY dropped below $34.99, now $12.49.

Have no idea if that list is legit and if it is, if Amazon would price match, but something to think about. |

After the clusterfuck of whats going on with BB right now, I'll gladly pay a few dollars more to stay away from them.

EDIT: I am reading some pretty bad reviews on Amazon about the HOLMES Blu set, but DVDBeaver and BluRay.com don't have real issues with it. So who is right? Does anyone here already own the set?

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Lightning Deals Calender - 2012 Ed.
I'll likely buy the Sherlock Holmes set as well - 14 remastered films plus extras for $34.99 sounds pretty damn good, even if I only watch them all once.
Edit: Especially as Netflix only carries the DVDs. |

If your plan is to resell them after working through the set ... sure. Otherwise I'm not sure that buying any film with the plan of just watching them once makes a whole lot of sense. YMMV.

OK - for those that are drooling over the (supposed) Indiana Jones and Bond prices from Amazon coming up - what were the actual prices?

So you never go to the movies, then? Since you'd be paying to see the film just the once and all.

As for Amazon's leak, the next three weeks are the most critical time of the year for their sales and profitability. Every dollar someone spends at another retailer is a dollar they don't spend at Amazon. You can bet that Amazon's marketing team, which is obsessed with following viral social networks, is carefully crafting the public release of prices. Amazon did not become the world's biggest Internet retailer playing the game with its head in the sand. |

When are they supposed to be "coming up"? I can't see the details of that post from behind my firewall at work, and have only seen obtuse references to this "deal".

There's only references made to the prices being launched at a specific time on 11/24.
