Lethal Weapon set's down to £12.49 now. Perhaps that's close to a new low?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003V1YHFE/

Also noticed the Jurassic Park trilogy is down to £10.04 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004KKXMSI/). Amazon U.K.'s image seems to depict a fairly thin slipcover in comparison to the earlier release, which was a rather thick, unsightly gatefold thingy. Anyone know if this set has been repackaged?

I ordered this a few weeks ago and it came in a case slightly thicker than a standard DVD case and surrounded by the usual type slipcover.

Thanks for that. Makes a purchase much more likely for me now. It's a shame they haven't redone the U.S. set this way, but then I doubt I'd get it for about $16 US even if they did.

I think there's a Runnin'-Like-A-Woman Steven Seagal Collection for £12.89.

re: International Blu-ray deals

Has anyone ever had a shipment returned to Amazon.uk as 'undeliverable to your address'? I just ordered 8 blu-rays and a few days later got this email. They refunded all of my money but I was wondering what the deal was with this? I have used the same address many times in the past.

Yeah, I ran into a situation like that with Amazon France a year or two ago. My gf tried ordering me Mean Streets blu import and they kept saying it was undeliverable and refunding her money. She lives 10 mins away from me in NY, so I finally just ordered it for myself and it arrived without issue. It was pretty bizarre.

It is a DHL issue, which is why I always hope that Amazon.co.uk uses Royal Mail when sending the package.

God, I hate DHL.

The DHL tracking info from an order I placed with ImportCds says my package is 'Out For Delivery' to a California address.

I live in Georgia.

re: International Blu-ray deals

DHL handles the package from the UK into the USA. From there, the package is turned over to the USPS for delivery within the US. Believe me, I ship DHL several times a week with my business and they have yet to screw up a package delivery.

And all the packages I have received from Amazon UK that stated DHL as the carrier - they were delivered by my postman; not my local DHL driver.

I ordered something from Amazon.uk a couple years ago and this happened (to me and a number of others on this board). It was sent by DHL - frankly I don't believe it ever left the UK. There was never any tracking information and it was impossible to contact DHL either by phone or by their website. Amazon resent my package by Royal Mail. I emailed Amazon that they were being ripped off if they got charged anything by DHL for my "delivery".

This is why I can't shop AMazon UK anymore. They pull that shit with me. ROyal Mail always showed up in less than a week and I'd gladly pay a few bucks to get it, but no. You either get stuck with DHL or pay $20 fuck fucking express air whatever. I'm not waiting 3 weeks for DHL to fail and get the goddamn thing shipped Royal Mail like they should've done in the first place.

For those who bought the LE Hitchcock set, do you believe it was worth the extra money (versus getting the regular UK set)? I'm just about to pull the trigger on an order...

There is no way that my package left the UK and then was sent back in the three days it took to get my notice! I am stumped, I have ordered many times form them in the past with no problems.. oh well, I will save the $150 and think about re-ordering at a later date.

re: International Blu-ray deals

The Harry Potter 8 film Bluray set is on sale as an Amazon.co.uk Lightning Deal for 17.99 pounds. With shipping it came out to 21.07 pounds or $34.83 for me.

It's 75% claimed and there are one hour and 49 minutes left on this one so be quick if you want.

Something funny on this Jurassic Park set - in JP3 when watching with subtitles, whenever the kid yells "Mom" its subtitled "Mum". Those crazy Brits!

re: International Blu-ray deals

Posted this at HDD, but thought I would post it here also...

For those interested in this set and don't mind importing, Amazon UK will have the reg. edition set as part of a lighting deal today around 12:15 pm est. Current price is £92.49 before VAT removal.

One thing I noticed this morning when checking out a lightning deal this morning is that VAT is not removed for these deals. I may be wrong, but I went all the way through check out to get an idea of what my total would be and VAT did not come off for me.

yeah, sorry 'bout that. I posted it in the Hitchcock thread on HDD and forgot to note it here.

Thanks for clarifying my mistake.
