I got Prison Break - Complete Season 1-4 (Blu) for $66 US. It is region free and has the last mini-movie included.

Interesting. I looked up the alternate versions link on IMDB to see what was cut. It was about 31 minutes worth and it will be hard for me to make a fair comparison although I usually feel most movies could be shorter.

Harry Potter 8 film collection has price dropped to 20.50 pounds. Going through to the checkout screen, the total price came out to 20.16 pounds which is cheaper than the Black Friday and (Cyber Monday) deal which ended up being 21.07 pounds.

I'm trying to find out if the entire collection is region-free. Looking at the individual movies on Blu-ray.com has a lot of "untested" listed.

The set is put out by Warner who also handles all the films, it is region-free and the extras are playable on any system.

Amazon UK is having a one-day box set sale with an additional 25% off on select box sets:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.h...d_i=B0027UY8B8

Battlestar Galactica Complete Series ends up being around $52 shipped(!), the Universal Monsters box set is about $40 shipped, the UK version of the Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection is around $87 shipped, Entourage Complete Series is about $92 shipped... and there's more, like Friends and Lost complete series sets. I'm soooo tempted... but I can't seem to pull the trigger on anything.

EDIT: Just a note that the Lost Seasons 1-6 does NOT say region-free, like the others do. Buyer beware.

I get GBP 31.41 for the Monsters set with shipping included...which is much more than $40...how are you getting USD 40 ?

EDIT: Never mind, am sorry. Yup, I see the promotion. Placed an order, thanks. Can't believe Amazon wants $129 for the US edition

Hitch was tempting as well but those less than stellar transfers on some titles kept me away....aint gonna spend cash on badly done remasterings...got my Masterpiece collection and Signature collections to enjoy until Universal reissues the set

Thanks for this, marginal!

Picked up True Blood s1-4 for £34.95 shipped. Cheaper than the 4th season alone, here.

Thanks marginal. I had to pick up the Universal Monsters set for my wife (and myself too) at that price. Freaking awesome. Too bad it won't get here by Christmas (1-3 weeks backstock) but I got plenty for her so no worries.

I'm tempted to return the order I already placed (but haven't yet received) and re-ordering. I would definitely save money. Not sure how much it would cost to return the package though, or if I want to go through the hassle...

They also have some 3D triple-packs on lightning deals currently for 11 pounds each, and region free:
Clash of the Titans/Green Lantern/Journey 2, and Legends of the Guardians, Happy Feet 2, and Yogi Bear.
Ends at 4pm CST, or when sold out. They are around 60% sold right now.

Thanks for posting the boxed set deal. Most of the series I'm just missing a season, but I've never bitten on BSG and am very tempted.

I again fell victim to the Legends/Rise of the Guardians confusion (even though I knew Rise is very recently in theaters, and if I'd thought about it, I knew it was DreamWorks, not Warner). Somewhat tempted by the deal anyway.

I have all the seasons in a ragtag mix of DVD, HD-DVD, and BD. I'm tempted to buy this and sell/gift my mess.

Same here. I feel like I have to justify my 3D TV, so I bit at almost any BD that drops to $15 or less. Even owning one or two of those six titles, I bit.

Actually, we don't get locked into an exchange rate until Amazon.uk bills us I believe, so it could go either way in the next couple of weeks until it ships. Shouldn't be too much difference though.

Also, make sure to choose pounds as payment - Amazon's exchange rate isn't as good.

I have everything on DVD plus Razor on BD, and I just remembered I'm missing one half-season--4.0, I think. Damn, now I'm even more tempted.

You're a bad influence on me, but fortunately the deal is 100% claimed now.

re: International Blu-ray deals

Wow the Universal monster set deal was better than the Lighting Deal a couple of weeks age. Oh well can't always get the cheapest price. Not box sets but I see Warner Bros will b releasing steel books with what appears to be original poster art for a number of classic films in January. Included are Gone With the Wind (1967 re release art), A Streetcar Named Desire, North By Northwest, Casablanca , Treasure of the Sierra Madre., and Dr. Zhivago. There may be others. Current price 12.59 pounds each.

re: International Blu-ray deals

This is very tempting even though I already have North by North West Digibook on blu.

The Alfred Hitchcock Collection by Warner Brothers [Blu-ray] [1951][Region Free] £11.25 (USD $20.82 Shipped)

The set contains North by Northwest, Dial M for Murder (3D and 2D versions), and Strangers on a Train

I've been thinking seriously about this since a couple nights ago. I too have the North by Northwest digibook, which I don't want to get rid of... but $10 each for the other two is still a good deal. Hmm...

EDIT: Yep... I bit.
