Nice deal from another thread. I'm tempted to blindbuy based on the good buzz.

Downton Abbey - Series 1 UK - $14.41 shipped - More features than US version

American Pie Blu Ray Set (Movies 1-3 + digital copies) is coming out mid March and can be had for about $20 shipped. (Versus $14.99 each in North America as a BR/DVD/Digital Copy)

Good deal, but do note that if the DCs interest you then you most probably will not be able to redeem them outside of the UK/Europe.

There are 2 alien sets listed on amazon uk. Anyone know what the difference is other than the artwork?

According to Amazon.uk converter, it came to $24.95 shipped
I don't think we had any further discussion about it, though.

You can, you just need to create a free UK Itunes account.

Go download something free from the UK store and you won't need to enter in any credit card details while registering. Once you've registered, you'll be able to download the digital copies and view them in your library just like any other ones.

Ok, didn't know that. Nice tip. Thanks! I've downloaded free apps before, but never tried DCs.

It's actually going to be about 25 shipped, not 20

Also, do we know if this is going to be region free yet?

One of them only has the 4 movies (apparently), the other has the 2 supplemental discs as well. No brainer to not go with the latter as the price is 1 pound difference.

Twilight Zone - Season One [Blu-ray] [1959] $15.49(I do not know the alt code for pounds) with shipping to the US $25.96. Not bad, order Aliens last month it all worked out.

I did not know there was a thead going on about this. When I bought it on the 14th it was 12.91 at the time.

Technically not a box set, but the 2-disc blu-ray of Cleopatra has dropped to about $14 with shipping. Supposed to have a gorgeous transfer and is region free. --Peter

Aren't the twilight zone blu rays in the UK region B?

Season 2-3-4 have [REGION FREE] in the item title, which is usually pretty accurate. Nothing on seasons 1-5, but I would find it a bit peculiar to lock certain seasons and not others.

I paid about £2 more for it, oh well. Still looking forward to it. Seems like a steal at $14 shipped.

I'd been hoping this would get a box set release ala Ben-Hur or Ten Commandments. But this price is pretty tempting.

No, they are all region-free and in fact identical discs.

re: International Blu-ray deals

I ordered the complete series of Prison Break yesterday. It's a deal of the week and yesterday they matched play.com and lowered the price to £39.99 ($63). The posters on bluray.com have posted pictures of the set and it says its coded for regions A and B, so I figured it would be cheaper than buying the U.S. versions and having some on blu-ray and some on dvd.

I am also considering ordering the first three seasons of Sons of Anarchy, since its on sale this week for £36.99 ($58) and it's cheaper than I have ever seen the U.S. releases.

Says: We are not able to dispatch this item to your default delivery address.

Seller: Amazon's Jersey Merchant

Does that mean I can't order it and get it shipped to the US?

re: International Blu-ray deals

Mine have shipped. Some sellers at Amazon UK restrict shipping to the US of blu-rays because not everyone has a region-free player (though Cleopatra is region-free anyway, so not sure if that's the issue). You may want to contact the seller (it may be fufilled by third party at this time). --Peter

Just now seeing this. I appreciate the response. I actually ordered the better (cheaper) set last week. Still waiting on its arrival. Should be by Monday. Can't wait to watch the first 2 movies in HD with HD sound!

It looks like some error. I was able to put it in my cart and go to checkout. Try it for yourself.

re: International Blu-ray deals

Ordered my Aliens set on Feb 18th and was to be delivered by the 27th. I still haven't received it. Should I worry or just wait a little longer? My order didn't have tracking as I live in Alabama. First order to Amazon uk in over 5 years. But, I don't remember not having tracking or a package not arrive by the time listed. Any help would be appreciated.
