This will get fixed real soon. Essentially, we can all file chargebacks if they charge us a higher price since our order confirmations show a lower price.

Well, mine had shipped BEFORE they canceled the 2nd item, and they royally f'd my order up... Even the CSR has no clue why $379.95 was credited to a random credit card...

That article was poorly written. It doesn't provide any examples of what happened to the orders, and the article just ends abruptly. It is completely lacking an ending...

As for this getting fixed soon, what makes you think so? I doubt BB is going to fix this on their own. They will force each of us to call them and waste time on the phone until they get it resolved. Heck, I called them, and they didn't have a clue how to fix it!

I agree that filing a chargeback may be the best recourse, for those who used a credit card. I used a gift card, so I'm at their mercy.

I'm not saying they won't, but with all the different charges people are receiving, I have a feeling people are going to have to work for their refunds and Bestbuy.com has some of the worst customer service.

I called the other day and asked for my order to be canceled and they did it right away.

I received the Coraline set today and it is damaged. There is a slit at the top center and at the bottom center of the box. It looks intentionally to me because the plastic in the center isn't cut as you would expect if it was accidental.

It might be because they used a razor blade to open up the box (that held them). I see it on the spines of BDs all the time.

Its why I ordered with my CC. They screwed me over with Paypal before and with a CC I can call and file a chrageback. And I will once I see what they do with Coraline 3D (I ordered that and the CE set).

I can see it. One slice for each end of the box would explain the cut pattern.

I got a backorder notice, but not cancellation...

I got a survey in my email about this experience and I told them exactly how I felt about this bullshit. If you get one please write something in the comments.

this is turning out to be a nightmare for some by the sounds of it. At the moment my credit card is still showing a pending charge for $24.XX which is the correct amount.

They should have just canceled all orders and left it at that. Did they not know that turning around and charging people full price on something that they didn't agree with would make this a complete clusterfuck?

I've seen people call Best Buy all kinds of names in the past, but personally I have never had any problems with them so thought it was a bit harsh. This however, casts a different light on the company in my eyes.

Theres a poster over in the other bestbuy thread, who cant wrap there mind around the fact that its wrong and pretty much illegal for them to have done what they have done with these new charges.


I to still show a pending amount for 24 plus change, so hopefully my 2 coralines will be sitting there waiting for me at the local bb first thing tuesday.

My charge also shows correct for Wanted and Mama Mia. I have gotten a back order email from BB but nothing else. Maybe they decided to honor?

My orders show canceled on the best buy site. But I have an extra authorization for 40 dollars that I never agreed too. I hope it doesnt become a real charge.

My order was cancelled but they put the items back in my cart then sent me an email asking if I need help ordering them. wtf???? I also got the survey and I was sure to let them know what I think.

I called today about being charged full price and the lady I talked to said she would have to forward it to the credit dePartment, but she also said I should have been charged 11.49 for the remaining movies I got.

I've got one for $39.75. It looks like if it goes through, it'll hit my account tomorrow. My entire order was cancelled (Hellboy 2 and Coraline CE) and there aren't any new purchases on my account. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

I'm soooo glad I used a gift card for this order. It's is still F'd up, and I haven't received any credit for the canceled item, but it didn't have enough money left over for them to attempt to overcharge me. I only have $9.68 left on the card...

Mama Mia shipped, so I really should only be credited $12.13, but it suddenly shows a gift card credit of $33.79. I don't have my GC with me, so I can't verify, but I will when I get home... The strange credit card credit of $379.95 is still there, however, but it isn't mine so I won't rejoice...

This may be coincidental, but I noticed that all of the strange charges I've seen posted involve the numbers 3, 5, 7, and 9. Your charge is 39.75. My strange c/c credit is 379.95. My weird gift card credit is 33.79. How bizarre...

I'm in the midst of trying to figure out what in the world is going on and I'll give Best Buy this much: when they screw something up, they go ALL the way.

I find it most amusing that we went from PRAISING Best Buy (for the $10-$20 holiday gift) to BASHING them for this utter fiasco. If they had done it in reverse, we'd all be happy, and think it a nice gesture of them...

Still holding my breath to see what happens with my 2 copies of the pre-ordered Coraline 3D that are "in process" and should release tomorrow..........

Me too... I really hope that one goes through. That was the title I wanted the most. I got a 2nd one for a gift, but as long as one goes through, I am happy...

I got an email from Best Buy saying my Coraline 3D order would be ready to pick up in-store tomorrow.
