Re: SE Editions of 'Hellboy 2' and 'Wanted' for $22.98
Where I'm pissed is that they put a charge for $39.75 (that is pending still). When I called to ask what was going on, they opened a case number. I then received an e-mail from Best Buy saying they were refunding $39.75 to an order I placed last January as a price change. The problem there was the card I used is no longer active, so the refund went into thin air. I then had to call them back, explain the whole fiasco again to another CSR and get yet another case number created.
Had someone just called me we could probably get this straightened out. Instead I'm having to chase them around to get a straight answer. It simply blows.

Slightly OT but still Best Buy related. Does anyone have the Salt steelbook backordered still? They keep hitting my card on pretty much a weekly basis for it yet it's still on backorder. To date I have just over $100.00 on hold from all the hits in the last month which is a bit overkill for a 21.xx disc. Has anyone else seen the same? It's as if they are just trying to see how many times my card can take the charges before it's declined. Combine that with this fiasco I'm pretty soured on them at the moment.

I'm soooo glad I used a gift card for this order. It's is still F'd up, and I haven't received any credit for the canceled item, but it didn't have enough money left over for them to attempt to overcharge me. I only have $9.68 left on the card...
EDIT: I just looked, and see something new in my order:
Gift Cards & Pitch In™ Card
***********1234 Amount charged: $24.27
Amount credited as of 01/03/2011: $33.79
Mama Mia shipped, so I really should only be credited $12.13, but it suddenly shows a gift card credit of $33.79. I don't have my GC with me, so I can't verify, but I will when I get home... The strange credit card credit of $379.95 is still there, however, but it isn't mine so I won't rejoice...

Turns out they really did OVER credit my gift card for this order. I'm going to place an order right now to spend that money right away. It has $43 on it now. I had $34 on it before ordering anything, and they have already shipped Mama Mia. They may try to get it back, but they might not... All I can say is, whoever got that $379.95 credit on their credit card is one lucky bastard...

Re: SE Editions of 'Hellboy 2' and 'Wanted' for $22.98
Just got this in my email:
This is the first actual charge I've seen for this order so far. Not sure what I'll see next. I'm guessing one for 42.39(price for "their" corrected order) and then hopefully a refund of some sorts. I also had mine ship so I'll be waiting for quite some time to see what Coraline 3D I even get.
As requested, we are notifying you that on JAN 04, 2011 at BEST BUY, $24.36 was charged to your Capital One® VISA PLATINUM account.

I got a 2nd email saying Wanted and Mama Mia were Back Ordered. My CC still shows the correct Authorization Charge.
Debating on canceling or not....might give it another week. Wife would love it and I really wanted Wanted.

Well, I guess i got lucky after reading what some of you guys have gone through.
The $24.96 temporary charge I had on my CC finally dropped of yesterday, so hopefully that's that with the whole scenario.
This is the first time I've really had any problems with Best Buy, so I'll chalk it down to a one-off for now, but will be more wary in future.
Kinda reminds me of the fun scenario that played out at Amazon 3 or 4 years ago around this time of year (those that have been here long enough know what I'm talking about). It took me a while before ordering from there again, but now they are my main "go-to" guys.

Just wanted to do a quick update. Ordered Hellboy and Mamma Mia on one order and Wanted and Coraline on the second order. Wanted and Coraline are on backorder still, but just received Hellboy and Mamma Mia in the mail yesterday. Both packages are in great condition and I was charged properly for the order. Good luck to everyone else.

I was able to pick up my 2 Coraline 3D discs for the $23 today in store. No issues (besides the usual my order not being picked and ready at the counter). Now I just need to get a 3D TV and sell/trade off my other Coraline 3D glasses version.

Re: SE Editions of 'Hellboy 2' and 'Wanted' for $22.98
Picked up my two copies of Coraline 3D today 25. after tax.
Of course even though i was the first one in the store, i had to wait for 15 mins to even get an attendant to come over to the .com pick up counter.
and then even after I recieved the email saying they were ready for pick up, they couldnt find where it had been placed. the cs had the stock person pull 2 from the shelf of course he picked up the old 3D release, and not the Bluray 3D copies. the cs person told him even before I could open my mouth that he had grabbed the wrong ones. and i mentioned i saw them on the end cap on my way in the store. so he grabbed two gave them to me and I was out. So it was just a simple matter of the stock guy not paying close enough attention to which version he was suppose to grab.
Iam happy though, took the copy to my boss that he had me order for him and went home with mine. 12.49 for coraline 3D is definately a great deal, and since it was a instore pickup none of the headaches that the shipped orders from this deal had.

I ordered 2 copies of Coraline 3D for in-store pick up early last Sunday and mine still says "In Process". It's showing as being available in store online also. Was hoping to go pick them up today but guess I will have to wait it out and see what happens. If I don't get an email by tomorrow I guess I will give them a call.

Re: SE Editions of 'Hellboy 2' and 'Wanted' for $22.98
I had fun switching my order to "in store pickup". It started with me calling BB and requesting this. I was on the phone for a few minutes and the CS lady said "sure, just go to your local store and grab a copy and tell them your order info and I'll note your account about it". I think great and then inquire about the constant billing on a backorder and when she looked into it she says I had 6 pre-authorizations. Not sure how she came at that number but it's close enough to what I saw on my end so she sent that order to billing asking why supposedly. I was also told that they had some kind of Christmas guarantee on that order so I am supposed to get a gift card in the mail now that she put it through. Now back to my store pick up...
I drive to the store, start looking for the disc and all I see are copies of the older 3D disc. After I find someone I have them look it up and their computer says they have 4 copies so we start hunting again. About 5 minutes later we have 4 of us looking for these hidden discs. Another 5 minutes pass and a guy finds them in a small 3D display near the iPod accessories. Such a great place for 3D Blu-ray I guess. He hands me a copy and off to the CS counter I go. After waiting in line for another 10min. I hand the rep the movie and my order info. She can't find the order. It's not in their system. She calls over a manager so I explain the whole thing to her again. She looks up my order and tells me it was canceled. I explained the ordeal about the canceled disc and then she finds the Coraline 3D order. I think great, I'm finally out of here. Nope, they can't do an in store since my order was a shipping one. I again tell her what the phone rep said and then I get an "oh, you can't do that. You need to cancel that order and place a new one."
At this point I'm starting to wonder if this is really worth the hassle. I end up phoning up the BB 1-800 number while I'm still in the store and start the whole process over again. This time the guy on the phone ends up punching in all the info again which apparently the first person didn't do. I was told it could take up to 2 hours for them to get the order and have it ready so I told the guy I would wait. I go back to the rack and grab yet another copy of the movie as they kept my first one since I didn't want to buy it at the store cost. I head right back over to the CS counter and wait. The girl looks at me like I wanted to rob the place. I tell her I just got off the phone not long ago and it should be straightened out and she pulls up my info again. Thankfully it was and they had used the first copy I grabbed to fulfill the order. I was checked out and finally got out of there.
It was a pain in the rear and at this point I'm just hoping I won't have to jump through many more hoops when it comes to billing and getting that all corrected now as my receipt shows I was billed 42.39.

Picked up my 2 copies tonight without issue. Both slip covers were badly damaged, but I'm just happy to have them. I can always swap em out later...

Dec 29, 2010 Bestbuy.com 00009944 888-237-8289 MN Merchandise $24.06
The actual charge showing up in the email was $48.67. They re-credited me (which has not shown up on the CC yet) $11.49 which should of been the correct price for Maama Mia minus tax. So you add all three totals up and it comes out to $48.67. I already called BB up and got a case #. She told me to return Mama Mia back to BB Brick & Mortar and see what they will give me back since there are 2 different prices on the order sheet. And if it is not what I should be getting back then to call back with the case # and they will refund the difference. If I could of order in-store pickup I would of but I was not given that option. What a hassle.
