Damn, I wish I had seen this earlier before the price increases. I guess $47.93 is the best that can be had now...

That is an error on Amazon's part, obviously it is not Region 2, it is the blu-ray packaging version, I received mine today, Region 1. The link you posted is for the DVD packaging.

Buy The Last of the Mohicans: Director's Definitive Cut [Blu-ray] and get Alien Anthology [Blu-ray] at an additional $20.00 off Amazon.com's everyday low price.

Buy Together Today: $86.98
Just noticed the Mohicans/Alien combo has dropped down to $84.98

Yup, for once I got in early on a pretty darn good deal.
For $33.93 I got 8 Mile, Frost/Nixon, Brokeback Mountain, Do The Right Thing, The Last Starfighter, U-571, Carlito's Way (and emailed them afterwards about the Psycho deal and got that for $12.99 shipped ). $46.92 for 8 BDs or $5.87 each is not too shabby. Sorry that they adjusted all of them to 30% off MSRP.

Buying Blu's at Amazon is lik playing a shell game now! You *might* get lucky, but more often, you're fucked!

Result has been FAR less buying there for me than in the past. Probably the same with many other savvy shoppers as well.

John Woo's The Killer is down to $13.49. This might just be low enough for me to bite even considering the reported iffy transfer.

I haven't seen it for myself so I'll reserve judgement. However, my expectation is extremely low.

For those of you who ordered Evil Dead ~ early October, I ordered mine on October 5th, and although the package has been waiting at my house for a few weeks, it WAS the two-discer.

Re: Amazon.com Discounts and Deals on Blu-ray Part II

Dragon Hunters is on my list as a "blind buy". I read some very positive reviews about it, but I'm still a little hesitant at $9.99. It shows the list price as $12.99 (so $9.99 isn't a huge discount). Does that mean $12.99 is as high as it'll go once Amazon jacks the sale price back up, or does Amazon fiddle with the list price just as much as the sale price?

It appears that the list price of $12.99 is a very recent reduction from a much higher price. So it is likely that it will have a lower sale price in the near future. I'd wait and see.

I know nothing about this title so I have no opinion on whether it is worth a blind buy.
