Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I was too late for the 2 day sale, but I'm going to try these out when Inglourious Basterds, The Hangover, and District 9 come out.
The Transformers 2 picture makes it kind of obvious that these are meant for that only, but what the hell, if this is working for other people I'm going to give it a shot.

It's only obvious if you can't read English...

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I got this coupon to work on even the Blu-Ray: Aquarium (you know, Aquarium, Hawaii, Trains, etc.) It's a great 1-hour high-definition movie of an aquarium. It's great for parties, ambient noise, etc. 12.99-5.00 = 7.99.

The trick for getting the most out of your coupon is to wear your best smile, scope out the registers, and bring it to the most laid-back cashier you can get.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

it's obviously for transformers two...
Personally, I think they just wanted to throw a picture on to accompany the coupon. People are forgetting that it isn't JUST the text that proves it's for more than Transformers 2. It's the fact that a lot of us have had success having it go through automatically for various BD titles.

Not sure that means much actually. Cash register systems are notoriously unreliable on that kind of stuff. You could probably use a dog food coupon on a DVD.

Thinking logically about it, I don't see why Target would want to distribute this coupon. Doesn't seem to make any sense. Maybe if they had a unique UPC system to guarantee one use per person...

For real? See the comparative image below:

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

For those who receives TARGET mail In Coupons/Catalog... there is a somewhat similar coupon which comes with both Transformers & UP Bluray Picture. The barcode upc is similar to print out one.

Predator's been on sale for awhile. I bought it a few weeks ago. I think Freddy vs Jason should also still be at that price.

There's tons of coupons out there for movies where they show an image but it also applies to other movies. Costco does it a lot. I've had Disney coupons and Toys R Us coupons also.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Would Target pricematch the Walmart.com price for T4 at 15.99?

Does Target have a policy against pricematching online deals? And if they do, do you just print out the online listing?

Has to be a paper ad for Target to pricematch. They won't PM online prices (including their own) and they don't accept printouts.

This was a no go for me. It would not scan, so the cashier called a manager over who said it was only good for the item pictured.

Picked up Kill Bill 1 & 2 as well for $21 and some change. The cashier rung up both coupons on the same ticket.

Thanks OP.

The employees at my local Target also look for any excuse to deny a deal so I'm not even going to try it on Terminator Salvation tomorrow. I'll just pay the extra 1.00 at Amazon with free shipping (30 day free prime membership).

Target should have extra checkout terminals in certain departments. If one doesn't checkout you should head over to another. For instance, at my local Target there are registers in the movie and jewelry department.

For me, I would have tried movie first, jewelry second, regular checkout area third, and customer service fourth.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Picked up "Bullitt" for $4.99 using the coupon today. Mad I wasn't at home (stuck in Minnesota on business) during most of Black Friday and couldn't get in on more great deals using the coupon.

If I go in relatively soon with a coupon and my receipt for "The Wizard of Oz" BD, will they refund me $5.00?

Probably, even up to 90 days I'd guess. With me it was ridiculously quick and simple. Scanned my receipt, scanned my coupons, handed me $20. But all things at customer service are YMMV.

Paid with a gift card and they handed me back $5 cash.

Even though I bought the Wizard of Oz on Friday, this is exactly what they did for me yesterday. I didn't bring the item back, just the receipt. She didn't even bother putting the money back on my card, she opened the drawer and gave me a $5 bill.

Same here. I'm going to go through my last 90 days of Target receipts and see if I bought any blus, and if so, get $5 back on each.
