Around my neck of the woods, they always check the expiration date, and never accept expired coupons. Doesn't matter if it's a grocery store or Wal-Mart.

A while back, one cashier told me that the store she worked for would deduct any expired coupons she accepted out of her salary.

I might try a Target $5 Blu-ray one this week, but I'm not counting on it being taken.

Exact same thing happened to me at Target with the Transformers price match. The receipt reflected the $5 off the price and I explained to the CS rep what happened so instead she gave me $ extra plus tax instead of $5. I didn;t have the patience to try to explain that her math was wrong.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Cool, just came back from Target after purchasing Four Christmases (wife wanted it) and I refused to pay anything near retail for it... used the expired coupon... (my guilty Catholic upbringing made me point out to the clerk that it was expired, yet it should still work) out the door with tax for $13 and change, the cashier didn't even bat an eye!

Same here. Got only $5 back and explaining the logic of the $10 difference got me nowhere.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Anyone know how much Star Trek is at Target? It still 19.99 or $29.99 now? Or if they raised the price of UP back from the $19.99 it was last week? I couldn't find Up during my 2 trips last week so I doubt I'll be able to get it anyway before they stop accepting the coupon.

I'm thinking of just spending the $17.09 Up is today in my Amazon goldbox. But then I'll need a filler to spend $25.

Lately spending $15 makes me feel better when buying BR's. Almost like the most I want to pay. Weird how this coupon has made you feel when buying BR's. saving $5 to bring the item to $15, $10, or $5 makes a huge difference.

just got back from target and saw star trek was $29.99. you should be able to price match to walmart if you can find their flyer.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Finally found Funny People so I could re-buy it (seeing as they f'd up my price adjustment yesterday). I tried to use 3 coupons, in this order:
$5 Target coupon - no problem
$3 Funny People coupon - system said "item not found". She looked at the coupon, and said it was rejected because it is expired.
$4 purchase of Funny People with Sixteen Candles/Breakfast Club, etc. I bought an SD version of BC... - system said "item not found" but she over-rode this one since I showed her I had Sixteen Candles
$10 coupon for Alien Quadrilogy - not expired, but it was a scan. I realized after the fact that I accidentally bought the Alien TRILOGY and not the quadrilogy. Coupon was accepted! That one will be going back though...

The funny thing is that ALL THREE FP COUPONS WERE EXPIRED! But she only noticed on the middle coupon. I thought for sure she'd notice the $4 one as well, since she stared at it for a long time, and this was AFTER she had already refused me on the other one for being expired. Go figure... Anyway, $10.99 is a good price, but I was hoping for $7.99. Now I can return my $19.99 one...

How'd you get it that price? I know there are $5, $3, and $4 coupons, but none add up to exactly $10...

Probably the $5 Target coupon and the $5 coupon that was on "Inglourious Basterds." I used those two pl us the $3 one. In hindsight, I should've bought another one of the DVDs on the $4 coupon list and gotten that off, and then done a no receipt return for that DVD, but whatever. $6.99 is great.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I used the coupon today and got The Hangover for $12 and I used a $5 Target giftcard I got yesterday for buying a Bender Ball there. I was buying a lot of Christmas decorations and candy, so Beulah only looked at the coupon to scan the barcode. This is a blind purchase, so I hope it's good.

19.99 - $5 target coupon - $5 coupon off 'Basterds" bluray = $9.99.

I forgot to print the $3 redplum one so i settled for just the two of them lol

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

It's strange, but out of all the great deals I've gotten (so far hopefully) with these coupons the one I paid the most for (District 9 @ $14.99) by far was the best deal. Watched it over the weekend - awesome movie!

Glad to hear it, man. I've felt like I was the only one who couldn't get a deal to work before and it's beyond annoying and frustrating, really.

Yeah I've been wanting the American History X BR for awhile now. I doubt I'll print anymore coupons unless I see something I really want on sale when it's still working.

YMMV?

Returned Funny People today (originally got for $21.99 after $5 discounts, so $26.99 'sale'). They gave me back the full amount. So an extra $5 cash

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Used 2 $5 coupons today for Funny People and Public Enemies. They scanned perfectly. I tried to use the $3 coupons and they didn't scan. I was told to go to customer service. I haev never had a problem at this store. Well the girl i get calls a manager, who I have never seen before. She says it doesn't say Manufacture's coupon on the top. I told here here is the address to mail it to and I pointed it out and she said "Target doesn't accept coupons that don't say manufacturer's coupon on the top." I don't mind if I didn't get it because it was expired, but I don't like being given a clearly BULL S H IT answer.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Well, to be fair, the "Funny People" coupon did expire yesterday, and since that's a manufacturer coupon and not the store coupon, I could believe it actually stopped working.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I finally snagged Public Enemies at Target today. The cashier rang it in, then both coupons, then she tried again and typed on the keyboard and she was like "This $3 coupons exprired yesterday but I gave it to ya," then she tried to scan the $5 off coupon, " This coupon Is expired too, but it's no problem." I wasn't aware of the expiration on the manufacturer coupon but I thanked her and apologized for the inconvenience. Pretty sweet deal I'd say.

Like I said.........I have no problem with it being expired, but to give some BS that the coupon has to say Maunfaturer's coupon on it.

It never said it on the coupon even when it was non expired.

That is why I was upset.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Got a question. If I had bought a movie from target on the 23rd using the $5 coupon (say to take Christmas story down from $24.99 to $19.99) and today it's on sale for $17.99... would Target Price match just to $17.99? or could I get it for $12.99?
