Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I used the coupon to purchase Star Trek a couple of weeks ago. At the time, the coupon did not ring up automatically and the cashier had to override the register to apply the coupon. Well, as fate would have it I received Star Trek as a Christmas gift. So I returned the unopened one with my original receipt and received full price back since the coupon was a separate line item! I made $5 cash from the coupon.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

I used the coupons a total of 2 times on G-Force and Inglorious Basterds. There is nothing compelling me to spend the cash for movies that I will never see more than once or twice. Of course, that just me. LOL

No problem using the coupon Today, got District 9 for $14.99 and Family Guy for $11.99 with the manufacturer coupon. Too bad they didn't put out Paranormal Activity like some other Dept. stores in the area.

Price-matched "500 Days of Summer" Blu-ray to Meijer's ad, at Target. Their ad had the DVD and Blu-ray together with a $17.99 price underneath and said "Also available on Blu-ray." I know it's a little dishonest, since Meijer most likely did not have the BD at that price, but I figured I'd try, and it worked. Used the Target $5 coupon and got it for $12.99 before tax.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Picked up D9 today, I used the coupon a total of 3 times. I couldn't imagine making as many trips to Target (let alone any store) as some of you have. That and frankly, the embarrassment of haggling over coupons with managers is just not worth it to me.

Target's price matching policy was unified last month under their "Low Price Promise" policy. You can read about it here:

What embarrassment? I never had one problem using the $5 coupon at any Target I went to. Used the coupon 15 times in 8 stops in 22 days. I plan to drop by one more time tonight on my way home from work. Although, that my be useless since all the sales are pretty much over.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Picked up D9 this morning for $14.99...

I took a few pictures with my iPhone of the temporary price cut section if anyone was wondering what the latest price cuts were. I hope the pics are clear enough:

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Used the coupon for District 9. The last copy they had. No UP, Taking of Pelham 123, or Year One we're in stock. I only wanted UP out of the 3. From what I noticed they raised most of the prices of the $9.99 titles to $19.99.But I did not scan them since I was in a hurry and the electronics section register was packed.

In a nutshell we have been saving ALOT of money everyone. A brief synopsis after reading of what we should NOT have been able to do

*Once an item is pricematched we are ONLY supposed to be able to use a manufacturer's coupon. Not a manufacturer and the Target store coupon. So all of us in those cases have been getting $5 off more than we should, nice score for us What the policy states is that we can use the Target coupon but it is supposed to be used BEFORE the pricematch and if the price is still better on the other ad they will then pricematch. Afterwards then you may apply the manufacturer's coupon.

*This one from the site "Timed events (e.g., early bird, door busters)"
To me this is HIGHLY interpertive and vague since they say "for example", I know some of us here got them to accept the 1 day sale at TRU. The Target I went to felt that it was a "timed event", so this one still seems like a YMMV.

*Online prices of ANY kind are not to be accepted, not just Target.com So those that scored with I belive it was The Hangover were definitely lucky as well.

They have not raised the prices, just either taken down the tags or never bothered putting them up. The only way I knew that some of the titles were even ones on sale was coming here to get the names of the titles. I know personally I tried to ask a person in elcetronics if they had a list somewhere of what had a temporary price cut but was told there was not one. Who knows.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Used 3 more coupons today....picked up Terminator and T3 (I now have all 4 on Blu) for $4.99 and Office Space for 9.99 (forgot the man. coupon but considering the deal I got on Rome, I'm fine "losing" $3.)

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

2 more uses today ... District 9 for $14.99 and Coraline for $11.99 ($2 manufacturer coupon also). The wife finally put her foot down (pointing out that we bought the player for Netflix and I had said I wouldn't start buying more movies). I made sure to point out that I had dramatically reduced my DVD buying over the last year (probably 6 DVDs in the last 12 months) ...

As for this coupon: Terminator 4, Monsters vs. Aliens, Office Space, G-Force, Tinkerbell, Donnie Darko, Kingdom, District 9, Coraline, and Inglorious Basterds ... damn ... I thought this forum was supposed to be about saving money?!

I may have to make one more stop tomorrow ... if nothing else I'll unload the coupons I have to people there.

Is the Disney $8 coupon deal still available? I didn't do it at the time because I had no intention of "going Blu" ...

And no ... still no price match policy posted anywhere ...

So you're the SOB who wiped my store out! I couldn't believe they were sold out on the first day. I'm sure I'll be able to find it at another location. I picked up Family Guy and The Ugly Truth today. I'll probably buy 3-4 more titles before the coupon ends...

Target sale, or are you talking about pricematching another store?

Target sale. Someone over at CAG had a partial ad scan. He posted the pages with video games, but there were some dvds on the same page. The scan has since been taken down.

The only 2 I remember are Public Enemies and The Hangover (Blu-rays) for $17.

Re: Target $5 off BD printable coupon

Picked up G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra yesterday and District 9 this morning at store opening. Having finally watched the Taking of Pelham 123 tonight, I'll be picking up that title tomorrow.

I was rather surprised that my Target only had like 7 copies of District 9, and virtually all had slipcovers that were dinged up. If one wants to ensure they get District 9...and cares about slipcovers, act now since they may not restock this title before the coupon expires.

I used the coupon twice, for Up! and for Tinkerbell (Tinkerbell also had a $10 Disney coupon, was $5). I also picked up G-Force from Meijer, $14 after discounts.

I won't even spend the toll to go to New Jersey to use the coupon nevermind Wisconsin. I think between tolls and gas I might lose out a little on this coupon doing that. So I guess it was another SOB. But from what I hear they have a lot of SOB cheeseheads there.
