EuroGamer breakdown/impressions

New mechanics trailer...

Shoryuken.com hands on impressions

http://shoryuken.com/2015/06/11/goin...ts-v-benefits/

This hands on is better because the player doesn't sound like he's more into SF4

You can take the (timed?) out of the thread title.

Xbox Will Never Get a Version of Street Fighter 5, Says Capcom Rep
Capcom indicates Street Fighter won't be on Xbox until Street Fighter 6 at the earliest.

I wonder why - money, contracts, rights? It can't be development, as the game doesn't look much more advanced than SFIV.

I'm pretty sure Combofiend is playing Charlie.

Parries. I loved those. Probably the best thing SF did after SFII originally came out.

If you showed me a still from each IV and V, I would have trouble knowing which is which.
Can't say the same for I, II, III & IV...

Couldn't the same have been said for IV, though? Or was there something in the last release that you couldn't get through dlc?

From Super to AE yes, from AE/Super to Ultra, Yes. But from Vanilla SF4 to Super SF4, No.

Yeah, that proves my point. Except for the HUD, the differences are minimal, certainly less than any previous SF.

Taking the Destiny approach I see. The funny thing is you will probably end up spending the same amount on both games over the next 10 years

I think SF4's hud is much too crowded, and V looks very streamlined. However this game is still sometime away and changes are always made. If I recall the revenge gauge in 4 was only a dial before they added that flame to the final design. Overall the most improved aspect of its screen (IMO) is the life bar, it no longer does that weird angle thing.

Yeah. V's is cleaner.

And I can tell many differences from IV to V.

It's not that there aren't differences, it's that the differences are far, far more minimal between IV and V than they were between the others. It looks more like IV.5, or Super Turbo Extra Massive IV, rather than a full bore sequel.

I can't see it with your eyes but there are bigger differences between the two games, and can be told apart from just looking at them....if you've been playing SF for a long time.
