Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

I've been consistently playing SF since 1991. I'm sure (I hope!) there'll be a bigger difference in playing it rather than seeing screenshots. And I'll repeat myself, since you're all missing my point: there looks to be LESS difference between IV and V than there is between the others. And I can see this because I've played all the iterations throughout the years.

Re: Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

Well the last 3D SF, before IV, was #3 of the EX series. We had SF3 (and all its versions), a 2D classic fighter type than we had IV. Which was still on the 2D plain but all in 3D. Soooooo... the leaps from IV and the others are just really obvious and not worth pointing out, in gameplay and in visual.

Many of us have been SF players for years. We've had so little to really take from it so far w/ this one. Some parrying, stage specific detail that occurs w/ the characters that's new to SF, and some other little BS.

I agree there's less difference (but then again, I've always felt that's true for this entire generation), but I say it's easy to tell a difference between the two versions.

I really wish I could see what you're seeing. I personally think SF V looks amazing.

Okay, so, TO YOU, which two SFs look more similar to each other than IV and V?

The only games (to my eyes-wow this will be a thing in this forum now won't it? ) that look VERY similar are the games in the Alpha series, since they re-use the sprites. I know the same can be said about the SF3 trilogy but the backgrounds are a giveaway in those games.

Jesus, really? I meant between I, II, III, IV & V, and you bring up Alpha and offshoots of 3? Just admit I was right and move one.

Maybe it's my meds or the lack of sleep but I swear you were asking me which of the games EXCEPT 4 and 5. But you're right let's move on before it gets ugly.

Entertaining set play between Combofiend and Mike Ross and some questions answered about gameplay. Skip ahead to about 1:15

I love that Yoshinori Ono trolls the fanbase, and loves to create excitement through teases

Yeah. He's a very fun guy to see. I might not jive w/ how wacky his Japanese self goes but dammit if he doesn't love the fans.

He is also a good sport! I met him at the launch for Super SF 4 and he signed my copy of Capcom Fighting Evolution. He lol'd and I told him that I bought it to support Udon and SF in general. He hugged me and said in broken English "thank you very much."

I like that (finally) he isn't a pallet swap of Ryu/Akuma. Granted he did have his own moveset and animations but he looks so drastically different from Ryu and that is a welcome change. I'm more than certain there will be DLC that makes him look like he used to.

Yeah. He's grown beyond the pallet swap since his origins but he's full blown has his own style w/ the art he knows. It's very much fresh coming from Ken. Not saying he didn't have his own flare but Ken looks like he was given more character to his style than ever before. Very nice.

Not digging that look though. His face looks wildly different to me too.

I think the hair is making his face look weird But this is really early and there is time to adjust.

His face looks like Gill based on the structure of it.

I don't mind his face so much and I actually like the hair, what I don't care for is the pulled down gi with under armour shirt look.

I hate all of the above I've always been a Ken player, I guess I just don't like change.
