Street Fighter 5 (Date: TBA) - (timed?) Exclusive to PS4/PC

No XBox One version?! This is an outrage!! I'm going to boycott every Capcom game forever now!

(side-note: The teaser was pulled)
One of PlayStation Experience's announcements has arrived a little early, as Capcom today posted a teaser trailer for Street Fighter V, coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PC.
The above teaser trailer was posted to Capcom's YouTube channel this morning. We already know that Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono is in Las Vegas for PlayStation Experience, and now it appears we know why.
According to prior comments from Ono, Street Fighter V is still in the early stages of development. He also assures fans that the fighting game will not be "pay-to-win."
The most recent core Street Fighter game was 2009's Street Fighter IV for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

I'll take Dead Rising over a fighting game every time!
Could be PS4 only in Japan like other games? If not, definitely a small exclusive window. Kind of odd given that EVO, the main tournament for this tiny market uses Xbox now.

Didn't see this when I replied in the PS4 thread but i'm a little bummed as I was a huge fan of Street Fighter IV (but lost interest after all the updates) and would have liked to play this on XBox One. But as I mentioned in that thread, seems basically like the Tomb Raider situation that everyone bashed Microsoft for. Hopefully this is just a timed exclusive.

I'm not a fan of this stuff UNLESS the first parties have some input into the game getting made like DR3, Titanfall or Bayonetta 2. No idea if that's the case here.
Capcom does have a history of doing this kind of thing with DR and RE.

Capcom is basically DOA at this point anyways. As great as Dead Rising 3 was, it barely sold a million copies. SF5 will probably do the same or worse, unless it's a $20 title similar to Killer Instinct.
This could very well be one of the last games before Capcom as we know it is gone.

The exclusive thing has been going on since last generation. I bought Fallout 3 on PS3 only to find out that the DLC was only available for Xbox. I eventually bought the game on PC just to play the DLC, and eventually it was released on PS3. Just a bunch of BS. I'm somebody who waits for games to go on sale for $20 or less, so to buy the same game a second time was pretty huge, luckily Steam had it for just $5.

Even if this initial release is exclusive, you know Capcom will inevitably start tacking stuff onto the end of the title -- Alpha Omega Ultra Edition or whatever -- and those'll probably be multiplatform. Well, unless Sony opened up their wallets to fund the game in the first place...

Street Fighter = D-Pad usage = way better on PS4. IMO, of course.

Cool, just bought a PS3/4 compatible Hori stick (I think the madcatz ones are also out now).

I'm curious what the world wide breakdown of sales and platforms are; if the game is being released on PC, as the previous iterations of SF4 all were as well, sure doesn't seem like the XBox One being doing poor in Japan should be a factor unless it is Sony jumping in. Of course, SF4 was a decent hit but it seems like the enthusiasm for fighting games waned again after it's release and all the title updates. The fighting game genre seems to have declined again after a brief rise in popularity again.
Last time around I bought one of the Madcatz gamepads as well as a fight stick, so the controller of choice wasn't a huge issue for me. Guess I don't have to spend the money on those accessories again right away.

Can't tell if any actual game footage, or just previous SF games shown.

Are we gonna get a 20 page thread about how big of assholes Sony is for making this an exclusive game? Just wondering.

I'll wait until more details come out but exclusives sucks so I want to see if Sony funding the game was the only way this game would have been made or they paid Capcom not to make the game for Xbox1.
