I know that obviously. But, if you promote a cameo or two in a trailer, people will go see the movie. I was only making the comparison in that they allowed an Avengers cameo in the movie of a completely different character.

You promote a cameo in the trailer you take away what possibility BW may have to get interest on her own. That's more important. A BW film doesn't need IM, Thor, or Cap. Fury is fine but no big hero that just by presence overshadows Widow. Barton would be fine. Even a certain guy from Cap 2 would be good.
It'd be like if you put an Avenger in the GotG. It isn't needed and just devalues the risk taken on the property. Some of these films need to stand on their own while also being appropriately integrated into this large scale continuing narrative of a universe.

Would it really be so hard to make a decent BW action movie at a $50 million budget or less? It would absolutely make back more than double or triple its budget If it would affect her contract in some way, then renegotiate this one and give her a few percentages on the backend.
I really want Marvel to start doing these offshoot lower budget projects that they talked about years ago.

If you team Black Widow up with another character you lose all the positive "standalone female superhero" press and gain a lot of negative press about how they almost did it but had to add a token male hero.

There will be a male superhero in it. Even Hollywood won't make a principled stand if it costs them money on an entirely commercial project.

Thor teamed up with like 50 people in his movies and Captain America had 2 major teammates this time around. Iron Man also had Rhodes a couple times, so it won't be an insult if someone else is there to help out, considering the three main guys are rarely solo the whole time.

The only reason anyone is even seriously talking about a Black Widow movie right now is because of all the press about the lack of female-driven superhero films. Its pretty much the topic of the week considering the possibility of Sony doing a Black Cat movie.

I think in wake of Guardians of the Galaxy, and that willingness to branch out, a She-Hulk movie could be good. At least one that's in line with Dan Slott's run in 2004, where she's a lawyer. It was fun.

That cameo was totally unexpected and not the reason anyone went to see the film. I hope that a Black Widow film could stand on its own without needing cameos from other Avengers. Heck, make it a BW/Hawkeye movie since they already have history together and you can knock out two birds with one stone.

Does Marvel have Cable? (OLD from 2009), but the question remains:

Gathering of scribes will help Marvel come up with creative ways to launch its lesser-known properties, such as Black Panther, Cable, Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Nighthawk and Vision.

I thought Fox was wanting to do an X-Force flick and that Cable was in it?

Yeah. The Inhumans would be an awesome thing to see. Great designs they've had.

Vin would work well as Blackbolt. The Inhumans will happen for sure, and i think they have a great rooster of characters. They would open up a lot of potential stories for the future as well. Maybe get the High Evolutionary at some point and those Celestials becoming the Galactus of the MCU.

I have to admit. The most surprising thing to me was seeing the celestial. Never expected to see one j. A film.
