Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only.

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Criterions, Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc.
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order

Return period is 14 days after delivery though possibly it's 30 days now for most people though there is a discrepancy b/w the receipt and website.
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept

Single Item 15% OFF, but should be reusable in different transaction and if the Clerks will scan it more than once.

I've combined both several times without a problem.

Go to your local store and order with Ship to Home. It is technically YMMV, since it is buried in the fine print saying no Ship to Home. But I have done it many times and have NEVER been turned down. I ordered the Planet of the Apes Blu-Ray set for $37.79+tax this morning, and will get another 5% instant cash back from my B&N MC.

Thanks to Laser and all who contribute to this thread.

My membership expires in a couple hours, so I used a bunch of coupons today, and used up all of my gift cards and store credit that I've been saving for years for some reason.

Got in on the 40% off on the Charmed and Borzage/Murnau sets.

Looks like starting tomorrow the Visa link is 10% off through December 19th. Added the information to the first page.

The Visa link is already giving 10% off, despite what the first webpage says. And the 40% off coupon is still working, so I'm placing a few more non-member orders right now.

Rats. Thought I was getting a good deal by ordering the Apes blu-box with a 15% off code but now I see I could have saved over $10 more by going through a AAA link and using a 20% off code with my MasterCard.
Even worse, just called B&N and the rep tells me the order can't be cancelled, the price can't be adjusted, and if I want to return the original box for a refund I have to ship it back to them at my own expense. Nice.

Oh 40% off coupon, how I miss thee. Let me count the ways... I placed 9 orders, so I definitely took advantage... Now I need to debate whether to cancel my membership and get my $25 back, or stick with it, hoping for more deals like this...

Why not refuse delivery of the package and return it for a refund. I've done that several times and never paid for return shipping. When the package is received they issue a refund on your credit card. Or take it to a local store for a refund. I'm not sure if the policy was changed but you may have to take store credit. However it might be possible to use the credit to buy a gift card you could use online.

Best steps to take (in my very limited experience).
  • Go to the non-register customer service desk in the center of the store and ask to make a ship-to-store (or home) order of the item you want.
  • They take some limited info, place the order, and give you a print-out.
  • Then take it to the front register and give them the print-out and your coupon. The front register is perhaps better than the media registers, since they might be less likely to know it is a DVD and excluded.
  • Walk away feeling slightly guilty.

Well, at least we got the 40% coupon. I'm skeptical that we'll see another.

Yeah, but that was technically only for books and you had to use a Mastercard (which I don't own). So it was worthless for me. I'm really surprised we haven't had even one 40% or 50% off one item coupon. Seems like they've done that before. Heck, they've even dried up on 20% Off coupons, which were common back in the summer and fall. Now all we have are the 15% off coupons.

i am still, though admittedly undeservingly, patient. looking forward to the day where a bunch of box sets are 30%+ discounted along with a 40% off coupon. and the masses will say hurrah!

Lots of holiday angst and crushed expectations here -- I too bought the Ford at Fox through BN last year.

However, with cashback and the occasional 20% (or even 15%) coupon, I think there are still some good deals to be had. I hope the thread stays updated, and appreciate all of the work that goes into it.

I was checking for new coupons today and found some new 25% codes. Here's one I ran across. I'm in the process of updating the list and will get the rest of them on the first page.

Edit: I hope there is an error on the expiration dates. If not the coupons are valid only from December 17 to December 18. I can't believe that is correct.

From what I can tell it appears the expiration dates are correct. I found another link with information about one of the coupons and it says expires December 18. They are already working when I checked, so use them before they expire in a few days.

Laser, thanks so much for the latest coupon updates! I used two of the three 25% Off coupons just now and will look to use the third one in the next day or two.

What did you get? I'm looking for suggestions. I see Lost S4 is at 30% off right now, but I want the BD version...

Don't forget if you have some extra accounts you can use the 25% non-member coupons over and over. With the 10% visa deal still going almost like having a free B&N membership. Too bad they expire so soon. No telling when and if there will be anymore.

I noticed on one of the coupon links the date was changed from December 15 to December 18.
