just for the record...no one is saying I'm not going to play them out of order. I was simply asking if the 2nd or 3rd time around was just as good as the first playthrough. that was it. just curiosity. nothing more than that.

Been playing the 1.0 release of 7 Days To Die. Zombie hordes have got HARD. We got annihilated about 28 days in. Overwhelming odds.

It's sad that my only Crash Bandicoot experience comes from Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

Crash Bandicoot is a series that seems like it would be right up my alley so I've played pretty much all of them but disliked everyone I've played. Spyro is an infinitely better series of the two platformers that were releasing around that time.

Finally decided to play God of War (2018), but I really hate the controls. Is there no way to remap the buttons? Cos using the shoulder buttons is super annoying.
And although I am only early on, I detest the kid. He has such a grating voice.
EDIT: Nevermind. I found the "Classic" control scheme.

I dunno. Really not enjoying how it plays, even after remapping the buttons to Classic, and setting evade/interact to Flipped. And Lock-On Camera doesn't feel like it changed much when I switched it to Off. With regards to handling, it sort of feels like I'm playing one of the Resident Evil remakes modded to feature Kratos (just the best description I can come up with). I guess it's just not for me.
That being said, Christopher Judge is great as Kratos.

wow! that's surprising as hell. I was engaged throughout. nothing like TLoU: P1, but was still an awesome game experience. I think I popped my PS cherry with this one. Love it so. And, looking forward to being in Kratos' world again, with Ragnarök.. I simply adored the first and I believe it got great reviews. Either way, it's overall in top 10 best gaming experiences of my life.

Well, I don't have any of the current gaming systems, but I'm enjoying the hell out of playing Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King on my PS2...

Finished Jeanne D'Arc. Forgot how grueling the last couple battles in that game are.

I'm still playing the heck out of Star Wars Hunters on the Switch, they are on season 2 and the new skins (some unlocked via quest/challenges others via their battle pass) are amazing! Inquisitors, Rogue One characters and they have a Mon Calamari that rides on a floating sphere that got an awesome Death Star skin with mini tie-fighters as guns.

I also started playing Windblown on Switch and Once Human on PC.

Re: What are you playing? (August 2024)
I tried Zoo Tycoon on Gamepass thinking it'd bring back fond memories of the PC version, but it crashed twice during the tutorial so I deleted it.
Then I tried MLB the Show because I haven't played a sports game since the Wii, but batting and pitching wasn't that interesting to me so I gave up.
Now trying Just Cause 3, which is mostly just blowing things up, which isn't a bad thing. Still getting used to the controls and map.

Gaming is dead at the moment for me so still, Mortal Kombat 1 (which I absolutely love anyway). Waiting on the disc release of Alan Wake 2 and Outlast Trials.

Final, final choice. I need an FPS fix. Haven’t played one in a while, except a little Doom: Eternal. Starting with first obviously…

Re: What are you playing? (August 2024)
5.5 weeks and 85 hours later, I got to the end credits of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth! As things stand now, anyway, it’s my game of the year. It’s also one of the only games I’ve played this year that actually came out in 2024, so take that with many grains of salt.
I’m still not sure what’s next, but I’ve installed Forspoken, Persona 5 Strikers, and Persona 5 Tactica to have some options when I’m ready to move on. (And it’s possible I’ll goof around in Rebirth some more, but I got all the world intel and did all but one of the side missions, so I feel pretty satisfied.)
And my better half is very close to the end of Thank Goodness You’re Here. The end of the most recent chapter felt like such a finale, but apparently there’s just a bit more to go. It’s one of the funniest games I’ve ever…well, can’t say “played” since I’m not the one holding a controller, but “seen played”, I guess.
