What are you playing? (March 2024)

I'm still plugging along in Spiritfarer (Switch). It's quite the cozy game.

Infinite Wealth for the foreseeable future. Just unlocked Animal Crossing and am also addicted to Pokemon. The actual RPG in the game is pretty damn good, too!

Re: What are you playing? (March 2024)

I’m kind of astonished that Rebirth isn’t on my list, but I’ll pick it up at some point.

I don’t have any single player games in-progress. Next up will be Street Fighter 6 or Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. I hope to finish at least one before the Princess Peach game later this month.

I’m still working through Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time with my wife.

I’ll probably continue playing Avatar until Rise of the Ronin comes out in a few weeks.

After many false starts, doing Edith Finch first and then continuing Midnight Suns then The Thaumaturge.

And of course my three Disney dailies.

Started and may stick with this for awhile. Slow to get started, but I’m sure it picks up…

Halo: Reach

The Halo TV series has made me want to replay Halo games. I looked at what I had and I only have Halo 3 and Halo 4.

I downloaded Reach from the MS Store for free. I want Halo: ODST but it's not available.

I'm still deep into Final Fantasy XVI. Lots better than the mixed fan response would lead you to believe. Shame it won't get the constant updates Final Fantasy XV enjoyed. I guess they really needed that Nissin Cup Noodles money.

Re: What are you playing? (March 2024)

I saw a couple streamers on YouTube play Supermarket Simulator. I bought it on Steam for $12.99 and I'm hooked. It's very addicting. I also bought a mech farming game called Lightyear Frontier ($19.99 on Steam early access and I think it's going to be on PC game pass soon) and I'm going to start a new game of Stardew Valley to try out the new 1.6 update. I'm also about 20 hours into Hogwarts Legacy on PS5.

Re: What are you playing? (March 2024)

Replayed Hotline Miami, and got all achievements this time around. Phenomenal gameplay. Worked my way towards A+ on every level, which was satisfying.

About 3/4 done replaying Hotline Miami 2. I know this one has mixed reviews (particularly some fans of the first game hating the changes), but aside from a few bits of world building and dialog that go on a bit long, I still love it. Gameplay is a bit harder than the first in some parts, and way easier in others.

Finished A Little to the Left. Cute game with very easy puzzles for the most part, but with enough that have more difficulty to keep it interesting. I definitely over thought a few that turned out to be way easier than I was thinking. Currently going back for the daily tidy every day, but may also spring for the DLC.

Almost have my new PC built up, so I’ll be looking for a game to play on that soon.

Re: What are you playing? (March 2024)

I can’t decide. I started a bit of Ghosts of Tsushima and absolutely loving it, but what I played of Dark Arisen I liked and since DD2 is more or less a remake, I’m not sure I want to start bc it will be long.

Supermarket simulator sounds like the stupidest, silliest idea for a game ever thought of.

I'm at market level 6 and played an hour and 40 minutes when I fired it up. Then I realized it was midnight and I have to be up early.

I downloaded Lightyear Frontier from pc game pass but I can't get it to boot past a black screen even verifying files and all that.

Finally got Lightyear Frontier to run. Why are all these great games coming out at the same time sigh.

Supermarket Simulator is buggy, but fun. I just hired my first two employees and the checkout workers are so slow....

I put in another 40 minutes today, this game is crack Although I'm watching the customers and there is not ONE fat customer. I'm watching how much sugar you all buy and eat. Also loving Lightyear Frontier.

There's also a Real Estate Simulator that's on sale for $9 at Steam. You start out selling tents and storage containers in a tent city and move your way up into the suburbs.
