I wonder why Mean Gene's face is blurred as well. I would have thought since he goes way back with the WWE and later with WCW, they would pony up the rights to use him in the game and more.

The WrestleMania Showcase match between Rick Rude and Ultimate Warrior is ridiculous. I played so many times and couldn’t beat it. Warrior is ridiculously overpowered and can seemingly take control of the match in an instant and then it’s just over. So irritating.

I got the $99 version with the Accelerator and everything, so why are so many superstars locked still. I never had to play showcase to unlock any of them in previous games, I thought that was the whole point of getting the accelerator?

Same here. It sucks to have paid $99 dollars only to find out wrestlers and arenas are still locked. 2K has screwed gamers over yet again. Not a peep about this before launch.

I totally agree, they are beyond ridiculous. It's not enough to have to win the match, but to unlock everything in that showcase, you have to do up to 16 different things. I see no path to getting them all finished while still trying to "stay alive" to beat your opponent.

It's annoying. 2k22 and 23 made you do Showcase and MyRise to unlock certain arenas and wrestler too. Even worse was MyRise has branching paths so you usually can't unlock everything in one go.

A patch was released this morning. I'm downloading it now.

I’m having a good time with the game. I had Cody dethrone Roman to become WWE Champion and also made him the World Champion.. only to later decide to dethrone him in a double title ambulance match against AJ Styles.

As far as the Showcase I just played WrestleMania VIII (as Hart against Piper).

Question for those of you playing this, because it's my first time... with respect to create a wrestler, is there a way to just climb your way up the ranks from nothing? There are so many ways to play this game and I'm currently playing My Rise. The mode is fun and gives you access to all the different matches and is basically a tutorial; but I'm not a fan that I'm already the champ and just playing a story with the requirement to have to end matches by pulling off required moves.

I just want to play a career mode like UFC games.
