I’m not sure what the ratio is, but they also laid off community managers, artists, QA, and even senior staff like artist Lorraine McLees and composer Michael Salvatori.

Re: Sony buying Bungie

layoffs from Devs have been more this year than past...don't forget Microsoft laid off 10,000 start of the year and it's Gaming Division got hit hard. The Embracer Group hit several they own with layoffis recently. Destiny 2 has seen it's lowest Player count ever recently and the delayed expansion didn't help with players demanding refunds. It's been calls for a long time that Destiny 2 has been losing it's past luster and glory and many have said destiny 3 is long overdue.....Story from August listing the layoff acrosss the industry this year alone....

My son is working on his Game Design degree at Full Sail in Orlando, and I know he and his friends there are watching this stuff relatively closely. I hope stuff gets situated by the time he graduates.

He ain't moving back in.

Re: Sony buying Bungie

Apparently the situation at Bungie has gotten far worse.....granted there's not only been layoffs across the whole spectrum of Gaming and almost hard to find anyone not affected, Bungie has been hit hard before and after Sony. It was Microsoft that before Sony had that massive 10,000 across all areas worldwide but the Gaming Division got hit hard, especially Bungie. Not two recent reports say it's gotten worse and all revolves around Destiny 2 performance....that be sales.....
