There is a setting based on real life percentages. Doesn’t help when you’re making a created character. And yeah the way they make you move the controls just at the right time to dunk or do layups. The dunk contest is impossible now. And let me make a guy that drives through the defense every time for a dunk if I want. I don’t need or want lockdown D on every possession.

The reason is they want you to spend (or grind) on VC to make your myplayer viable. But the trick is, just create a player and play myteam instead if you want to start off overpowered.

Any you can pick and roll and get a dunk almost any time you want (if you don't go for a flashy dunk, you don't even have to time it that much). Similarly you can pick and roll off the ball and get a wide open three if you want too. It does require you to learn how to use plays or at least not play one of five every possession, though.

The only time I've had difficulty with that is playing a team like the Clippers because man PG13 and Kawhi are just all over you. But I'm ok with that.
