Single player, multiplayer or both?

Which do you prefer?

I could never get into multiplayer. My buddy gets mad at me for fine reason. I’ve gone few times, with headphones trying to get same place, just not fun fir me. So, just a nice single player campaign, always?

Single player almost exclusively. Local multiplayer on occasion. Online multiplayer very rarely.

I haven’t played a single game online in a year and a half, and even that was just Anthem with my wife on her Xbox downstairs. (I did briefly play some other games online early last year as well, like Far Cry: New Dawn and Dead or Alive 6.) And that probably won’t change anytime soon.

This.

My friends and I hopped on Halo a couple months back for the first time in a couple years and got our asses handed to us. We used to be pretty good but we were definitely out of practice and it wasn't fun so we just stuck with closed matches with just us.

The "ideal game" for me is Single Player, Co-op and MP.....I much prefer one with SP and Coop though.

Re: Single player, multiplayer or both?

There was a post like a few years back - if you asked me then, I would have definitely said single player only but now I would say both as I couldn't picture not playing call of duty at all and I'm a fan of EA Games UFC - they recreated the live atmosphere perfectly and online fights are outstanding (as shitty as the games currently are, they're still impressive).

Don't get it twisted though, a solid single player experience is still the best.

Singleplayer entirely. From the start of my gaming back in the mid-90's, I've played online less than 10 hours I'd guess. It's not fun being berated for not being a supergod when I start out. My playing time is erratic at best, and I very rarely buy new games when they come out, so playing with a dedicated friend group doesn't work either.

Single and Multiplayer. Granted, it's no fun getting your ass kicked on a causal Saturday night by people who play all day every day. But it still adds value to a game purchase in my opinion.

Single player first and foremost. I'll do co-op MP only, e.g. Borderlands.

Single player only. I just don't see the fun in getting my ass kicked by pubescent kids hopped up on Red Bull and calling me "boomer" (even though I'm Gen-X).
