Re: What Are You Playing? (September 2020)

Borrowed a PS2 (never had a PS1 or PS2) and PS3 (Mine died a couple months ago)
So I'm doing a PS2 run (Since PS5 isn't gonna be backwards compatible), cause I don't ever not want to play these games since these systems can die one day. I hope not. I will do remasters on PS3.
Anyway I'm starting with:

never played before ( I don't do PC)

Finally finished up Ghost of Tsushima.

Still slowly making my way through Daymare 1998, Dragon Quest V, Final Fantasy VI, and my replay of The Last of Us Part 1.

When I get to this (I'm playing PS2 games in order of release dates), I will be playing the PS4 version.

Finally dove into Yakuza 0.
I'm loving it, having never played any of the games, but there's so. Much. Dialogue.
Does that make me a bad person?

Decided to get the Mafia Definitive that just came out since I never played it back when. Loving it so far. Between that, AC: Odyssey and The Last of Us II, I'm definitely good until the PS5.

All of the yakuza games are heavy dialogue. I tend to ignore the story and just goof around doing the minigames lol

That game took me close to 90 hours, and a little over a year, to complete. During that time, it was the only game I played. Life got the way of playtime, but it's still a pretty long game if you try to do everything.

I've never finished a Yakuza game. I always start out excited about the story and universe, but all the dialogue and random stuff I feel like I have to do makes it seem like a chore after a while.

Yeah. I've been skipping over the random stuff as much as I can. I'm not interested in any of the side quests, just the main story. Some of those minigames are so tedious but you have to play them at least once. The only thing I do not skip at all is the random fights in the street. They're easy enough and I get good cash from them so I can level up. I'm not expecting to get through all the games by the time Like A Dragon comes out, but I am determined to keep playing the series. I'm loving the main story as a whole in 0... but everyone talks so damn much!

Yeah i don't expect to finish by the time Cyber hits. I guess it doesn't matter since its two different games. Its for sure a massive game pretty impressed at the size of the map.
