I installed the HotStock app on my phone in my search for a PS5. The notifications went off this morning that PS5s were going to be in stock at Target. I received another notification when they went live. I used the Target App and added it to my cart. I go to check out. It asks me to confirm the security code on my CC and then the whole app crashes.... Well maybe I'll have an easier time after Christmas. Amazon is supposed to get them in stock for Prime members before the end of the month. I was able to get a Switch from Amazon last year when you couldn't find one anywhere.

Turns out that due to the way they did this licensing model, if you previously upgraded a disc copy of FFVII remake, you can't upgrade your PS plus copy. At least not at the moment.

Same story here, except I didn't get to the credit card screen. Had it in the cart and then the app froze for a bit as it was thinking and I got the out of stock message. Got another in stock notification later, and same thing. Added to the cart then no stock when I try to check out.

I got Crucial from Amazon and it's still on sale for $140.....There's several other brands out there and even a bit faster...but for me Crucial has always been at the top with satisfaction....however, Adata is no fluke either; I have their Memory in our PC and they seem fine....

It must’ve been the Shocker. It’s like the second major task of the game, and it’s a chase when the player is still learning the controls. I got through it after a few tries, but it was annoying.

Need some help and advice...Going from Disc Version to Digital...and how to re-DL Game

First off, I have a very old like day one Disc version of Diablo 3 Reaper and on the PS4 I'd get unable to read disc messages or No Disc detected or something like that...

So last night I bought the Digital Prime Evil Collection that has Diablo 2 PS5 and Diablo 3 PS4.....so I see the D2 PS5 version to DL, do that,,,,then hit the D3 icon and see PLAY GAME...yet shows the small Disc Icon at the top. And sure enough asks to put in disc.....

I'm thinking I need to get rid or move any files from the D3 Disc verion off the External USB drive (for PS4 Games) but on the internal SSD, there are small files that look like they're for Disc Versions...like 8-15mb. I assume take it out also. I feel like just move to the USB drive, disconnect but then how do I get the Digital version and re-DL it?...Do I need to first Delete the entire Game package including th Diablo 2 PS and will I get the option in Store to Re-DL the whole package?

Yeah, Sony does it in a really dumb way compared to Xbox. You basically have to completely delete your physical version files, then download the digital version and use that instead.

It also does fun things like not allowing people to upgrade the PS Plus version of Final Fantasy VII to the PS5 version if they've already upgraded the disc version.

As opposed to Xbox where it's just a license and it works. Buy a disc, install it and it works with the disc. Have that game come on game pass, it works without the disc. Have it leave gamepass? You need the disc again but it still works.

Finding a PS5 is hard. I got an alert on my phone that they were available at Amazon, I was able to add one to my cart, but by the time I went to click place your order the site crashed.....

As I was just whining about not being able to get one, I was able to get one at Best Buy! It'll be ready for pickup on Sunday Jan. 2nd!

Remember, a small trick for using Amazon is to put it in your wishlist now, even if out of stock. When you get an alert, go to your list and buy it from there. It worked for us for an XSX.

How much have you all been selling your PS4s for? I was thinking about listing mine for $100, but after some google searches that appears to be quite low. I have a PS4 slim 1 TB that's about three years old.

I traded in my PS4 Pro and a couple old controllers to GameStop back in October for around $400 in store credit. They don’t have that specific promotion going right now, but you might get more than you’d expect.

If you do that, be sure to bring any charging cables because they’ll ding you $10 or so a controller.

They shouldn't have dinged you because PS4 controllers don't come with charging cables. You get one with the system that you need to bring with your trade in but not each extra controller.

We got a couple hundred for our PS4 Pro plus a few controllers and an extra game. Might have even been $250.

Yeah, it was the system controller they pulled a charging cable off the rack for and deducted from my total.

The 1TB NVMe are a pretty good deal right now hovering between $140 to $180...however the 2TB aren't with a price of around $280 or so...you could go with a 1TB NVMe and there's some external USN drives on sale like this one below on Amazon...a 2TB USB 3.0 for around $60.


Use the internal storage for straight out PS5 Games and use the external for PS4...which is what I do. Down the road some of these PS5 games are going to chew up space...like the next Horizon Game is said to be in about 95GB. Plus, keep in mind you
can move the games freely...as we say, one can never have enough storage space....

I picked my PS5 up and I'm setting it up now. My first impressions are it's massive.... It sets up a couple inches over my tv.... Also the horizontal stand is a piece a junk for a $500 console. It just clips on without a screw? It's already slipped off on me while I was hooking cables up.
