I think you're not seeing a couple light bridge crystals. Make sure you're looking everywhere. Some might be on a platform across a gap from you. Sometimes you can move the crystals too.

I wouldn't feel guilty watching a YouTube video of that part
but I dunno the exact spot your on so it'd be hard to say anything.

Are you really doing it on your own if you are asking for guidance here? What's the difference between relying on the ability of memory of someone here or a person that takes the time to put together a video for you to watch to not have to put it to memory for a forum poster? As I've gotten older, I couldn't care any less what someone else thinks of me and how I play my games. The first God of War was a tad confusing and my son and I relied on a video or two for help.

Here, I’m not asking how do you climb this mountain, I simply asked for tips and some strategy. A vid online is showing me exactly how to. I’m not saying it’s really “cheating”, I’d just like some know how as to how to figure out certain stuff on my own. Like a logical way to figure it out is what I miss sometimes. It’s not about what people would think, it’s totally that I want to accomplish these things on my own.

I agree, tips and walkthrus are different things. Tips help you figure it out, vids hold your hand. They land differently.

Re: God of War (4/20/18- PS4)
After taking a few weeks off for the busy holiday schedule, I got back to the game. Killed a bunch of dudes, fought a giant monster, thought I had unlocked a new region but hadn’t, then upgraded some stuff I don’t really understand. I also looked up the solution to several puzzles, which I have no qualms about. That kinda stuff doesn’t really give me satisfaction these days, and I’d rather not spend 20 minutes trying to figure it out. Still not convinced I’m getting anywhere in the story, though there was new info on the hot witch, and the kid constantly says he misses his mom.

I’m liking the game, but I thought it would be more epic. It’s like go to this place, fight a few baddies, go to next place. I’ve never been overwhelmed. 3 or 4 maybe 5-6 at most.
Haven’t come across any big bosses yet, if this has them that is. I would think so.
It’s says I’m either 8% completion or 12%. At 19 hours played. Really not sure. But, so far it’s been pretty linear. Only did two favors or I guess side missions we would most known them as.
It’s certainly a gorgeous game. I couldn’t help but see the World Serpent for several minutes, gasping in awe. But, I thought it would be, I dunno, more exciting. I mean Atreus does all the talking while Kratos grunts and never talks a full sentence.
Still, it’s definitely my type of game and I’m sure I’m just at beginning still and more things will open up. I hope.

Re: God of War (4/20/18- PS4)
Can someone tell me what buttons to press for Kratos to gain a spurt of health?
I know it has something to do with the left d-pad and I swore I’ve done it before, but tried every button press and looked online (yes, I know it’s unbelievable). I got nothing and can’t use the skill that I know is there (it’s not empty).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks lwhy?. But I know it was something with the d-pad. It’s mapped to left dpad and I think I’ve used it before to gain health when no green orbs are around.

Are you talking about the Hold L1 + Tap O boost from an equiped talisman? (Long recharge between uses)

I just tried it. It didn’t work. But, when I did hit that combo it told me to press R3 which is press down on the right thumb stick. That didn’t work either and I know the talisman is usable as it’s not greyed out.

Not a biggie, but I know I used it and knew how not I totally forgot. But like I said I may have unequipped by mistake.
Game is starting to itch my buds for playing again. It says 18% completion but I’m near the top of the mountain to spread momma’s ashes. Is that close to end?
But having a ton of fun with this and figuring out the puzzles on my own is another jolt. I’m starting to see the pattern and what to look for above and below. I will say sometimes it’s maddening not knowing where to go next, exactly.

Wow. Guess I got a lot to look forward to. I figured 19 hours I’d be deep, but not OldBoy style. Yeah, 5 of 17 missions so far. Hardly made a dent. Oooh what’s to come…

Re: God of War (4/20/18- PS4)
I think I’m getting into the rhythm of this game. I’m not using as many YouTube vids and understanding what to look for. Whether it be some yellow splattered wood to looking for the O action button to climb or descend. And upgrading is making me so powerful. I’m only level 5 right now, but I’m upgrading weapons, skills, Atreus’ stuff. All the moves seem to be gelling. Even two ogres aren’t phasing me. I just use some special axe attacks or pummeling with Atreus’ arrows. It’s just clicking and I’m not even halfway…😂

I doing chapter 5, where I have to get to Thor’s hammer. I’ve been exploring (but so far very linear and not too much to explore), opening chests, discovering new territories, doing errands. I’ve racked up a lot of hacksilver, but I use it to upgrade abilities and weapons and stuff. I’m level 5, I believe.
