If anyone has chance to play Vietnam dlc, post thoughts without spoilers please. Any reviews out there yet?

Re: Far Cry 5 - 3/27/18
I've only played for a little bit but I'm enjoying the Vietnam dlc.
It's more stealth based as there are perks for going undetected that you lose when spotted and have to gain back. It's only 4 so it's not a huge deal to lose/earn. The stealth aspect fits right into the time/region and story of the dlc so it makes sense.
The map is small compared to the full game obviously but there still seems to be a decent amount of things to do including liberating camps, finding/destroying stuff, freeing pows besides the "main" story.

It's substantial DLC for sure. Not unlike Far Cry Primal in that sense - big, independent story. More stealth-based. Not all that other Primal stuff, but closer in many ways to the original FC gameplay - certainly more difficult and not guns-blazing. They have a clever earn-and-lose perks mechanic -- you kill undetected and you build a stealth perk meter, get detected and you lose them. And you can call in airstrikes which are nice.
I'm enjoying it. It's a meaty expansion and it's only the first of three!

Discovered that if you free a squad member from a NVA prison camp, they become a Gun For Hire for you, BUT if they die, they're gone forever. That kinda sucks (though you can always replay the game, I suppose).
This game is perfect for the Spotify feature, now on both Xbox as well as PS4. Open it and select a Vietnam War playlist. Yes, it makes localizing enemies harder with audio cues, but that's a small price to pay to stealthily kill soldiers to "For What It's Worth" or run through a camp, guns blazing while the guitar solo to "Freebird" blares in the background. I mean you can play a Vietnam game without hearing "Fortunate Son" or "Watchtower" playing behind you, but really, why would you?

There are a few options when you start the Vietnam DLC. I chose the "action movie" type, which automatically gives you 4 weapon slots and the ability to call in airstrikes whenever you want basically.
I am LOVING it. Yeah, you can go stealth and probably should most of the time, but you can also just unload with a LMG. It's super eerie creeping through the jungle, because you never know where the enemy might be. So far I've freed 2 POWs, which I've done by stealth bc I don't want to risk them getting killed in a big firefight somehow.
It's tons of fun and highly recommended.

I love just moving along and all of a sudden there's a platoon coming down the path and I'm diving for the nearest bushes. I've saved one squad member but I think he's suicidal as I keep having to run back and revive him before he dies.

I was getting frustrated FC5, so I popped in FC4 (forgot that I left off at about half-way through it), and I had so much more fun with it. I like the area/topography better, along with the the little things, like how missions and encounters work. It was such a better game. I do like 5's arcade mode, and some of the extra stuff, but as a game, FC4 smokes it!

I tried on One as well and didn’t see options. Do I go in Arcade mode?

Went back to your link, it had my gamer tag when I logged in, but says I haven’t played yet. What do I have to do?
