That's easily my least favorite of the pro controllers so far.

I’m good with the plain black one I have. If anything I might get the GameCube adapter and controller.

Yeah, the regular one is pretty nice and if you're going with a limited design, throwing a couple of white accents doesn't really do much for me.

I’m surprised there was never an official one for Super Mario Odyssey or even Breath of the Wild. I know there are licensed ones but they aren’t Pro Controllers.

Of course they make the part that'll get the most dirty (grips) the white areas.

Does this one have the fixed d-pad? I wanted the Xenoblade one because it apparently had the fixed pad, but those were hard to come by.

I forget if it's been discussed, but Hori made one.

Yeah, we discussed it earlier. The Hori one can't be used undocked and it has a bug that drains battery life like crazy (maybe it's since been fixed though).

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Special Edition Now Has A Release Date And Price.
Nintendo has announced when players can get their hands on the special edition of Super Smash Bros Ultimate and how much it'll run them. The special edition bundle of the game includes a nifty looking pro controller, the game itself, and a steel case.
The bundle doesn't come cheap through, costing $139.99. The special edition Pro Controller can be bought standalone for $74.99.
Both the bundle and the branded Pro Controller will release on the same day as the game: December 7.

Nevermind. That is too rich for my blood.

Wait, they put a five dollar premium on the Smash branded pro controller? Granted five bucks isn't much, but I don't remember them doing this kind of upcharge before.
I like steelbooks and all, but I'm not super attached to the Smash logo and I'll probably want this digital anyway, so unless I can find one easily (and it's not available on BB) I'll pass. Though the fact that GCU works on this is a draw.

I think the previous colored controllers were also $75 like Splatoon and Xenoblade.

I like that Smash controller a whole bunch. I think it's sharp and looks better than the standard pro controller.
I've been looking forward to Hyperlight Drifter for a while now so it's nice to see it's coming out soon. I'm still deep deep into Dead Cells, and Spider Man is out next week as well, so I'll hold off on it for now, but it's nice that it'll be available when I'm ready to get something else on Switch.

I have to say that I'm not liking Dead Cells all that much. The die and repeat the grind in this is nowhere near as appealing as it was with Dark Souls or other games. I think the generated maps turn out clunky more often than not.

The hook with Dead Cells, for me, is the fluidity of combat and the variety of weapons/traps you can use. I can run through one of their levels with just about any combination of gear, wreck shit all the way through and look cool as fuck doing it. I'm 70 hrs into it so far, still have not unlocked all the blueprints or beat the final boss, and it's just as much fun as it was at hour two.
My game of the year so far by a long shot, and easily in my top five of all time.

That sucks. I love the Souls games, too. After spending some time with DS Remastered this year, I grew really fatigued with that flavor of slow, deliberate combat and grind.

At what point, if there is one, do you not end up back with the skeleton of that giant dude when you die? That is the annoying part. You lose most of your stuff and you are simply running re-formed levels again and again. I also think the combat is more button mashing, which side-scrolling games often turn out to be. Trust me when I say that I want to like it and not feel like I wasted 32 bucks for a hard copy.

Really hoping there's a dungeon crawling Diablo-ish RPG coming to the Switch soon.
Or whatever you'd call Darkstone or Champions of Norrath.
