Well, it doesn’t show it on my pc. In fact hardly any of those are there.

None of those. Not one. I’ll take a screen shot sometime. But, when I open, the 3rd highest I see is Baldurs Gate, Elden Ring and I can’t remember the others. Tomorrow, I’ll take a screen shot. You’ll see what I see. I wish I saw those. I’ve even brought up top games and no Switch whatsoever I think.

Is Ocarina of Time playable on Switch? SM Galaxy? I guess the Wii games didn’t carryover, huh?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Sweet about OoT. Too bad about Galaxy. But, I have Ocarina of Time on a playable GameCube too, but I’m sure better on Switch.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Or, you know, you could play ONE OF THE DOZENS AND DOZENS OF SWITCH GAMES YOU JUST BOUGHT ALREADY AND HAVEN'T PLAYED A MINUTE OF YET

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Just asking. No need to jump down my throat. I just want the best of the best as I really like this console.

One thing to keep in mind that for non limited games (like the aforementioned Galaxy): they will be available for a long long time digitally. Like there's no rush to get these games before they sell out or anything. I know you know this but really consider that. And the longer you wait (if you're not going to play it) the more likely there will be a deeper sale.
**edit** just checked the store and they are no where to be found. the only thing that comes up is Super Mario 3D Worlds with Bowser's Fury. |

To be fair, fujishig's phrasing was a bit awkward:

A possibly better phrasing is: One thing to keep in mind is that, except for limited edition games (like the aforementioned Galaxy): they will be available for a long long time digitally. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Agreed I could have phrased it better but Galaxy is like one of the only limited games... ah whatever, hopefully the point still stands. If a game is limited, get it if you have FOMO.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Why were those limited anyway? It's not like Nintendo lost the rights. Was it just to create FOMO?
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I'd say yes.
|
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
That's literally the only reason to make something limited that can be sold digitally.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
well, thanks for the answers and clarification of those answers. I appreciate you all. I do see used carts, one looked especially pristine, on eBay, for like $40. would love to play and finally finish SM64 and Sunshine. Never got around to finishing them on N64 and GameCube respectively. And, Galaxy, which I never played, is especially enticing with those scores.

My kids love playing it. I got it just so I could play Super Mario Sunshine (it's one of my faves regardless of how others think). |

Be careful and read the listings closely. You don't want to end up with a bootleg. The cheapest I've seen is about $75 on ebay when searching for Super Mario 3D All Stars.
I found a CD keys site that is selling an online Nintendo account the game was pre-purchased on. This is an interesting work-around to the fact that the digital codes are no longer for sale, and will no longer activate even if you had one. You add the account to your Switch and then download the game using the Family Sharing feature. |
