Yeah $400 is the price because it includes the $100 Pokemon game. I waited too long and missed out on the Splatoon bundle last year for my older daughter, so I figured I'd preorder this one since it's coming out so close to Christmas.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I was close to buying a second switch to port my daughter over to, but with this news I might as well wait a year.

:banana::banana: Wait a physical copy of Night Trap?...on the switch? And yep, Night Trap was released by Limited Run Games on Switch. They have like a set window of time that you can order titles and then they cut it off. I’ve gotten two titles from them and might get their upcoming release of Golf Story. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
So, of course my wife bought the new Mario Party game because of who she is but we were annoyed to learn the Pro controllers don't work with it and all we have is the 2 joy cons that came with the system.
Anybody know of any deals on joy cons out there? Maybe in tomorrow's sale papers? |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Best Buy has the red ones as a deal of the day for $65 ($15 off). Not a huge discount, but it’s something.

Anybody playing Splatoon 2 still? Got a Switch recently and have been playing it for a few months now. Just recently got into Salmon run and that's been really addicting.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
A few of the Limited Run games are coming to Best Buy. They should be eligible for GCU. Golf Story and Yooka-Laylee announced so far.

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I was planning on getting a Switch for my son for Christmas and maybe pickup Smash Bros. as something we could play together. I ordered a couple of these controllers. Are they the best way to play or should I look for something else?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
They are passionately favored by people who learned the game on them. But you must know you will have to buy an adaptor to actually connect them to the Switch.
For new players, it may not be a big deal nor the most economical way for you to play. |

Did anyone else pick-up Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu/Eevee?
I was able to pick up the Pikachu Version at a local Gamestop's 9pm Release Event. I never played Pokemon GO, so its pretty enjoyable so far. |
Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
I haven't really been following along, is the game pretty much a $60 version of their free to play phone game?

No it's a remake of the original Pokemon Blue/Red but using a more similar to Go catching technique.

I had the same question. So it's not a social game involving actually moving around? Just a full Pokemon RPG with more active catching using Joycons?

Re: Nintendo Switch: Building a New Generation of Hardware from Scratch
Dammit, now I may have to go and pick it up.

What’s the difference between the Pikachu and Eevee versions?
