Whatever Inside is, it looks pretty cool. I loved Limbo.

Re: E3 2016 Discussion Thread

I was hoping for a new Ori, that was rumored the other day Not a whole lot of surprises in the conference... and not really impressed by Scalebound or Sea of Thieves. Looking forward to Recore though, and I think Gears looks great.

Wonder if Sony will acknowledge Neo during their conference.

Oh, I saw someone post $599 on NeoGAF when the announcement first dropped, so I thought that was official, but nope, it's not. Forget what I said!

Shot in the head...maybe, but I don't think it'll be that bad.
The broadcast of this that I watched on Youtube seemed to have the right thought on all this. This is starting to look more like the Apple way of doing things. As mentioned the games are supposed to work on all systems. So that being said it is like getting the newest most powerful iPad(the Slim) now, and then Microsoft is coming out with an even better one in 1.5 years(Scorpio). It's up to us how much is it worth the upgrade.

Looks like Forza Horizon 3 for me. Now to decide if the extra $40 is worth it for the Ultimate Edition.

Not Ori, but EA showed off a game called Fe. Looks quite interesting.

If you're going by years between console generations, they weren't rushed at all. That said, there were a lot of folks that were definitely disappointed by the specs of the current generation, myself included. I think that's why part of me supports the mid-generation refresh.

I assume that is a lot of flops. I don't know what the number of cores mean in terms of actual power.

I think I'll wait for Scorpio to be announced. It's not like the One S is going anywhere in the meantime.

Re: E3 2016 Discussion Thread

So if you don't have a 4k TV, is there any reason to upgrade to the newer consoles that will be released next year?

Re: E3 2016 Discussion Thread

^ Yes. You'll still get better performance (framerate, resolution, overall quality, etc.) at 1080p. If that doesn't matter too much to you (as I expect would be the case for most console owners, honestly), then keeping your existing console will still be just fine. I think these upgrades are for people who think they need the best performance.

Xbox One S - for people don't have an Xbox One already, and/or who want 4K video support.
Scorpio - for people who want 4K video support AND improved gaming support

Unrelated to that specifically, but I saw this on another forum:
If I were Valve; I'd trade making Steam PCs / hardware for the ability to have steam games play on Xboxes in a heartbeat.
Steam boxes are a complete failure, no? I think this person is right... Valve would be smart to go this route. But I could see Valve and Sony teaming up for something like what MS is doing on their own.

For $299 and UHD BD, that is a crazy good deal.

I'd just take it to Gamestop. Probably get at least $150 for it.

Re: E3 2016 Discussion Thread

Best Buy trade-in is $105 right now.
Gamestop is $100 store credit or $80 cash.

Obviously, this can change at any moment, and I bet it was higher 24 hours ago.
