- Heroes of Might and Magic (PC) - This is mostly HOMM3, but I played a ton of the first two before 3 was released, and a bit of 4. But I’ve literally played this game more than all other games combined. It’s like comfort food. I can replay the campaigns a couple times a year, and have been doing so for almost 30 years now.
- Halo (Xbox) - Mostly the first game, mostly co-op on two Xboxes set up in my living room. But I love the series and the single player campaigns too.
- Doom (PC) - And the sequels and similar FPS games; played so many of these on LANs and then later online back in the day.
- Adventure (Atari 2600) - Best Christmas ever was getting this system and a few games. Loved finding the first(?) Easter egg here.
- Tetris (Gameboy) - I hope I remembered to take out all the batteries when I put my multiple Game Boy systems in storage.
- Towerlands (iOS) - Got hooked on this mobile game over three years ago now, and still play it daily, and on multiple devices. Strategy, a bit RPG and tower/castle defense, maybe a bit Clash of Clans not that I’ve ever seen that game actually.
- Galaga (arcade) - Played most of the PC and video game system versions over the years too.
- NHL Hockey (Genesis) - I think it was the first game that we played the most, but I imagine I got some of the sequels too. Such fun multiplayer.
- Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance (Xbox) - Mainly for the memories of a great month or two of co-op play with my friend Kirk, but a nice combo of action and RPG strategy iirc.
- Warbirds / Checkered Flag / Todd’s Adventure in Slime World (Atari Lynx) - bought three Lynxes and group play was so fun
- Advance Wars (GameBoy Advance) - Now I need to search my storage site for this.
- X-Wing (PC) - The sequels too, still need to go back and “finish” these some day.
- Toe Jam and Earl (Genesis) - One of the few games I ever got my sister to play.

Re: Your Top 10 Games of All-Time?
I’d probably put Diablo II, Mass Effect, and Fallout 3 near the top of my list just based on how many hours I sank into them. But I also really enjoy quick, casual stuff when I just need a break or I’m bored at my desk, stuff like Bloons Tower Defense or old-school flash-style games. They’re not “top 10 of all time” in the traditional sense, but they definitely get the most playtime when I don’t have time to dive deep.
Lately, I’ve been using this site - LINK REMOVED - during slow workdays to play stuff like Shell Shockers and Fireboy & Watergirl. Found it through this collection of unblocked games that just works straight in the browser even when most gaming sites are locked.
