I think you can play MP right away. No scenarios required.

Re: RAINBOW SIX: Siege
Finally figured out how to select the maps and modes you want to play in Terrorist Hunt. Glad to not have to do a round robin of modes and maps that I am not interested in. If anyone wants to add me for some PS4 play, then send me a friend request.

This is my favorite franchise next to Diablo. With the sale price ($50) at Best Buy, GCU and my $5 GCU coupon $35 is getting me to pull the trigger on this tomorrow, with all our Xmas games not like I really have the time, but I'll find some. I'll be on the X1 if anyone wants to terrorist hunt.

I haven't got to play a lot, but I love this game. I prefer the terrorist hunt, just like in previous games, but multiplayer is a blast too. I'm getting old my eyes are not as good as they used to be.

Re: RAINBOW SIX: Siege
I'm getting better at MP as I grow used to the maps... that said, there must be some serious lag issues with this game because the action I see on my screen before I die is generally not even close to the action I see with the final kill cam. Either way, fun game -- I just so wish there was a real SP campaign where you lead a squad.
And I could swear I saw a new version of R6 coming out this spring on Bestbuy.com so I checked over the holidays and didn't see anything... did a Google search, nothing. Either I am going crazy or the info has been pulled.

Are you sure you are not thinking of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands? They showed it at E3 last year and it looked really good. Probably won't come out until 2017 though.

Maybe that's it... damn. I do like Ghost Recon but dig R6 a bit more.

Anyone still playing? The more I play, the more I LOVE this game. I'm learning all the idiosyncrasies of each map and operators and routinely score in the top 2. I almost always lurk around the map when defending instead of holing up in the room and love using Fuze when attacking. The smarter you play, the more rewarding the match is.

Re: RAINBOW SIX: Siege
My friends and I picked this up back when it was on sale. We really had no desire to get into the competitive multiplayer, but the T-Hunts had our attention. We spent many hours just going through T-Hunts back on Vegas 1 and 2...but we did not think this game would offer enough to just play T-Hunt.
Well after 20 hours I can honestly say our group is having a lot of fun. Mixing in attack and defend type modes...unlocking new characters and attachments...the game is a blast, even if you don't touch the other modes...
Here is a short 50 second clip of my friends having a blast...just a warning...my voice sucks...LOL

Rainbow Six Siege players will get a free Xbox Series X upgrade
Earlier this year, Ubisoft announced that it had plans to release a Series X version of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege for when the console launches. Now, the creative director for Siege, Leroy Athanassoff has said that those who own an Xbox One copy of the game will get the Series X version for free.
When asked about how the Siege team would be approaching the next generation of consoles, Athanassoff said (via a Ubisoft news post), that he didn't want to split the player base between the One and Series X. "The game will be backwards compatible, meaning that you can take your disc of Rainbow Six Siege on PS4 and put it in your PS5, or take your Xbox One disc and put it in your Xbox Series X. What we know for sure is that we don't want to break our community, to split our community, and we don't want to make you buy another Rainbow Six Siege at full price." Athanassoff also said that Siege would support cross-generation matchmaking.

Re: RAINBOW SIX: Siege
This is great to hear. I think I'm the only person on the board who plays this game regularly. It's thrilling and maddening at the same time. I love the strategy but loathe some of the cheap, broken mechanics and the team killers.
