I'm tempted to get Transistor, but I still feel like $15 is too much...

i think that is a good price. $20 is too steep. I bought it at $20 and regret it somewhat. The game is good, but it is rather short.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

I've wanted to get either/both Left for Dead 2 and Payday 2, but after browsing through the Steam forums, I'm not so sure either of those communities are really 'noob' friendly enough. I don't want to get screamed at or kicked from the game just because I don't know all the ins and outs.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

Anyone play the Baldur's Gate enhanced editions? Good price on the sale today, but I think I'm reading that most prefer the originals.

^I haven't. The only thing I remember reading is that they were really buggy when they launched.

Surprised to see Wolfenstein 50% off, given how new it is. Tempting...

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

I spent the better part of a day trying to get the original baldurs gates up and running with all the suggested mods and then it wouldn't fire, so I might just bight the bullet on the enhanced editions.

The GOG files are on sale for $5 each, and they almost always run flawlessly. The number of mod suggestions does scare me off a bit though.

I don't have Payday 2 for PC but I do own L4D2. My steam name is spazoid83. Maybe we can get a dvd talk group going some night?

Anyone play the Orcs Must Die games? They look right up my tower defense loving alley, and are 80% off.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

The Orcs Must Die games are great TD games. Lots of fun and much more action than most other TD games. Buy the DLC as well, they make things a lot easier.

I finally bought something in this sale : Shadowrun Returns and the Dragonfall expansion. $9 for both seemed like a pretty good deal for games that new.

Wish Van Helsing II was cheaper. Has it been a daily deal yet?

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

So Steam keeps encouraging me to vote and earn these silly cards; but even though I've had the account for over a year I'm considered a new user (just added a credit card to it) and I can't buy or sell or do anything with all these cards that expire in two days.

I sent you the 3 cards you look like you are missing to craft the badge, if that is what you are looking to do.

I might still pick it up at the end of the sale, but I doubt it.

I've bought too many games already and spent too much money to buy another game I'm on the fence about. With Destiny out at the beginning of September, I'm probably only going to get through a couple games on my list before I'm knee deep in that for a good long while.

Anything I don't get to before then is going to be sitting in my library for months.

You rock! What's a badge?

But more seriously, I think I'll be playing on Steam fairly regularly now. Orcs Must Die is great fun, and The Ship look interesting. You need a code for that? Or anyone else? I bought it the other day and have two codes to gift. Each of those then gives a gift code as well iirc. We can get some DVDTalk group game going maybe.

Also Music, let me know if you need any of my cards or whatever else this steam economy/collectable/stuff is.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

Decker was right on, this Orcs Must Die is great fun. It's basically a tower defense game with an equal amount of third person perspective action. The sequel adds co-op play apparently, looking forward to trying that. It's on sale for another couple hours iirc, runs great on my middling (?) HP Athlon with Radeon 7560 graphics, and gets my highest recommendation.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

We are down to the last 30 minutes to earn points for your team and the Summer 2014 cards will be removed from your inventory tomorrow. If you aren't going to craft a badge in the next 30 minutes, you should just sell everything on the market and get 20 cents or so per card. Close to $2 if you have a foil.

Re: Steam Summer Sales 2014

Don't you owe me some cards?

Why are the cards being removed? I still have cards from last year...

I need a #8 and #9 to make the badge and add points.
