Re: Battlefield:hardline

I had fun with it, but it plays like a mod, not a whole new game...

Re: Battlefield:hardline

Yeah this is kinda garbage. Does the game proper have a single player component or is this all there is?

Re: Battlefield:hardline

This definitely should be a dlc (a la BF2: Special Forces) and not a stand alone. My favorite moment: Repeatedly being netcode killed while under cover. Way to not repeat that problem boys

Re: Battlefield:hardline

They realized the game they created is nowhere near what players want so it is back to the drawing board.

The new Beta is out. Anyone else play it here? Hotline mode is a fun twist on the typical "conquest" mode.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

I played it yesterday. Wow it looks like crap. Why can't they repeat what they did withh BFBC2. That's the only way I'm coming back to this franchise.

As was stated before it looks like a modded game.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

I've been watching streams of it and its certainly not getting me hyped to download it. It really does look like crap. The graphics and player animations seem like a huge step backwards from the more recent BF games. I'm a huge battlefield fan but this might be one that I skip.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

I loved the Battlefield franchise up until Battlefield 3, which I thought was a step backwards. This beta is my first journey back into the world since then, and I, too, am unimpressed.

It's more the controls, though. The recoil and accuracy on the guns reminds me of the old Rainbow Six FPS games, or Ghost Recon games. You can't just fire on a target, or, it seems that way to me.

I downloaded it in the X1 and all it does is show the icon loading. Won't start the game or go beyond the first screen

Re: Battlefield:hardline

The game is currently available to pre-load on Xbox One, I'm assuming PC and PS4 pre-loads will be coming sooner rather than later.

For those with an Xbox One and EA Access, you'll be able to play the game (both campaign and multiplayer) for free for ten hours from Thursday, March 12th until Monday, March 16th.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

Here's the first 40 minutes of the single-player campaign, which promises to be 8 to 10 hours. Looks decent to me, add in the multi-player and if it gets good reviews, I might bite day-one.

Since you play as a cop, I wonder if there's a specific button you press to beat up black people, or if that just happens automatically...

I've only played the prologue so far, but it was a lot of fun.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

Since we're getting 10 hours of free play on this with EA Access, I'm going to try to finish the single player campaign. I have zero interest in the multiplayer in this game, but the campaign looks interesting enough.

I'll play on easy if I have to. I have no shame.

They only let you play the prologue on EA Access.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

Game looks pretty damn good to me. Much better than the beta that I played last summer or whenever it was. I actually pre-ordered this tonight after watching some streaming today.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

Just started playing the Prologue and it locked up during the first arrest.

Reloaded the checkpoint and nothing.

Had to do a full restart of the game... wth

You play the prologue and the 1st chapter.

I wasn't going to be sucked into another Battlefield game that sits unplayed, but the single player was decent.

Trying Multi later.

Re: Battlefield:hardline

This may be the best Battlefield game since Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

The multiplayer is a blast and far exceeds what was made available in Battlefield 3 or 4.

That's great to read!

I really wish we'd get a Battlefield: Bad Company 3.

I enjoyed the hell out of the single player so far. Must buy for me.
