As of now, there is no physical version of The Amazing Spider-man 2 that exists. No retail store is carrying it. If there was, we would've already heard about it this morning.

For Xbox One owners, the only way to get the game is digitally . . .

. . . and most hands-on impressions and streams have said the game is very lackluster and is being compared to that of a last-gen launch title.

Yeah, the furor over the game's delay was just more "Xbox is dooooomed!" trolling. Nobody actually wants to play that thing.

There was a pretty decent run for a little while there! I'll stand by Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man from the original Xbox era, and I really enjoyed last gen's Shattered Dimensions.

The first Amazing Spider-Man movie adaptation was pretty underwhelming, though, and I'm gonna pass on part two.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

I think Spider-Man 3 was a better game than Spider-Man 2 but there shoulda been a much bigger leap between generations and with 3 years between games. The fact that the first two launched only 2 years apart on the same generation of systems makes it even more inexcusible. Definitely one of those cases of unchecked expectations making it hard to see the game for what it is, and I'm sure most people would be hard-pressed to actually explain what Spider-Man 2 did better than Spider-Man 3.

In hindsight I don't know if either one of them offered much more than a pretty decent open world for Spidey to swing around. It was always a bummer once you left the city streets and had to go inside to fight thugs and bosses.

I liked the one where Bruce Campbell narrated the tutorial.

That could be either Spider-man 2 or 3.

2 is usually considered to be the best Spider-man video game.

He did it on the first movie game too, so all three based on the Raimi trilogy. And I believe the first Amazing game too. Maybe more. I think he was actually joking since Campbell has narrated most of them.

Not joking, but I only played one of them - not sure which one. Most likely the first.

A new system update is available under system and system update, I don't know if this only for people in the preview or everyone.

As much as I want to love both my XBOX One and my PS4 equally it seems that a Sony product will continue to be my main blu-ray player. I went to rewatch X-Men First Class tonight and my XBOX One had numerous issues with the disc. I inspected to disc, it was spotless on the back so I tossed it in my PS4. The rest of the film played flawlessly. I only wish I had known this before I bought the relatively useless media remote. Hopefully the YouTube app is updated so I can at the very least use the remote with it. It's incredibly stupid that I can't hit the play button to start a fucking selected YouTube video.

Until the audio decoding gets fixed, playback of Blu ray titles is disappointing. I know that there's that 7.1 uncompressed setting or whatever, but it doesn't sound right to me. The PS4 decodes audio tracks properly. Maybe in the future this will be fixed, because I really like using my Harmony remote, which I can't with the PS4.

To be fair, both the PS4 and Xbox One both make TERRIBLE Blu-ray players. PS4's Blu-ray app is clunky and Xbox One's has audio issues galore.

I still use my PS3 in the living room as my primary Blu-ray player.

Same. My PS3 is now exclusively a BD player and won't get replaced by either new system for that functionality.

How is it 'clunky?' Click the BD button and it plays. Haven't had any issues at all.

Terrible UI (to be fair, the PS3 is similar, but at least there's a remote available specifically for Blu-ray playback) and lack of Blu-ray 3D support (same goes for the Xbox One).

I'm at the point where I'm about to just buy a stand-alone 3D Blu-ray player and call it a fucking day.

Yeah, same here. I replaced my PS3 as my main blu ray with a PS4 and it's been fine. The lack of a remote is annoying but the playback itself has no problems. Same with the Xbox One in the basement. And my Harmony works fine with it.

I have a separate complaint - in theory, I like voice control. I was a big fan of "Xbox pause" with my 360, Netflix and the original Kinect. However, "Xbox on" is useless to me, as I have to go turn on the controller too. If I turn on the controller, the Xbox turns on anyway. So there is no scenario where I'm going to start my Xbox without turning on the controller. If you say "Xbox on," it should turn on the controller too. Just one of those random annoyances.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Well my XB1 from Ebay finally arrived. Great news is the seller left their profile on so already tested and able to play Titanfall and Peggle 2 under my profile. Sweet. First question of many I guarantee as I get used to this thing, just to confirm but when I have the cable connected through it I have to have the XB1 on as well then if I want to watch TV? It appears that if the XB1 is off the signal will not just pass through like when I would have my receiver off the signal would just go through but just not have my HT system on, and the volume come from the TV speakers.

And dare I say it appears my picture for cable actually has improved somehow, or I'm just seeing things?

The Xbox One does have a built-in hardware scaler so there is a possibility that your image is improved (up-scaling 720p to 1080p), I haven't done any research on such a thing though. I think you need to have the Xbox One on at all times for it to work with your TV, like a cable box or DVR. In fact the only piece of tech that I have that has pass through while off is my Receiver.
