I watched a couple of streams on this yesterday and that's the thing I noticed almost immediately. I was thinking this is really nicely drawn and animated. I want to get it....oh wait, holy crap...seriously? He's not dead yet (this was a boss stage), now he turned into a tombstone...but he's not dead? It reminded me of Mega Man a lot honestly. Obviously there are differences, but a lot of inspiration for sure. Maybe when it has a deep sale, too stressful for this old gamer though, lol.

I really want Cuphead. Might sound nuts, but is it worth getting a One S for? I'm actually considering it (and then getting other exclusives later of course, but Cuphead first). And no, I don't have a gaming PC.

Cuphead's system requirements on PC are pretty low, may not need much of a PC to play it

Cuphead glitched on me twice.
First time, I was in a boss fight and died at the exact same time as the final transition took place, so it continued as if Cuphead was there, but he obviously wasn't. I had to shut it down and start again. I can't remember the name of the level, but it was the rollercoaster one.
Second time, I can't remember which fight it was... I think it was the dragon boss... but the game just froze. The music kept playing, but that was it. Again, I had to shut it down and start again.

While the game is kind of hard in spots, I don't think it's THAT hard in general. It's tough, but fair. Then again, I haven't even tried the 3rd world yet.

I had something similar to your first bug, where I died but the game kept going as though I was still there.

And I agree, the game is hard but the bosses never feel like they cheat or have mechanics that come out of no where that are impossible to avoid. I die a shit ton, and 2/3rds of the time it's of the "why the fuck did I do that" variety.

Yeah, it's mostly a fair game. I think what makes it harder like I mentioned before is that you can only get hit three times and you're dead. The weird thing is I bought a health upgrade and had four health points but now only have three. Not sure if the upgrade is temporary or what.

^ The upgrades have to be enabled after you buy them, when you're in the map. Press Y (I think) and select an open slot, then put that upgrade in there.

I have that same upgrade. It definitely helps, at least for me.

Yeah I don't think there's anyway we'll see a $50 - $100 discount on the One X already. PS4 Pro didn't get anything last year too.

I'm thinking the same. Maybe a free/heavily discounted game or two, but no meaningful sales for just the console itself.

I doubt even that -- if for no other reason that it would allow launch units to fall into Best Buy's price-matching policy (depending on how long the promotion lasted and when it started).

Well, we already know for sure it will at least hit $450 at Target during the 10% off all electronics sale that they have on one of the days during Black Friday week. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see it in that price range again before Christmas.

And like I was saying above, that's exactly how I got my Pro during that sale last year. Even better when Amazon was matching the Target sale, so it was 10% off the sale price

Ah, I always think of individual store coupons as a different thing that actual advertised store sales. I'm sure we'll see some generic store coupon or whatever that lets people get the console for cheaper the MSRP in that case, but no stores actually advertising a $450 or $399 price for the console.

Are pre orders for the standard edition at launch still to be had? GameStop still shows the 7th; just wanted to check. Microsoft Store is at 11/30.

11/30 is for shipping from them, you can get it at actual store on the 7th like every other retail store.

Placed an order with BBY. Site still lists it for launch day. I don't care if it's the Scorpion edition, or whatever it's called.
