Actually I think OldBoy's question is totally fair.
Answer, for me, is that yes, I know he price and the specs. But I'm not 100% sure I need the upgrade; especially since I don't own a 4K TV in my man-cave. My XO doesn't get a lot of use. But it is running sluggish sometimes. It sometimes needs a hard reboot to start up. It may be on its last legs. If it dies soon I will certainly need a new system. Otherwise I'd like to see how it performs in real-world testing to see if I really "need" it.
One thing that seems pretty certain is that if I want a Project Scorpio Edition I had better preorder it now to keep my options open. I can always cancel or return it later. If I sit out now, I would certainly miss this Special Edition console.

Already "sold out" on amazon.com. That'll change a bit as pre-orders are cancelled, more stock gets added, etc.

Edit: when I initially ordered on Best Buy, I didn't see a Store Pick-up option (maybe I just went to quickly), so I chose Free Shipping.
Anyway, I was able to update my order to Store Pick-up just now.

I had $220.00 dollars in store credit at GameStop. I used it to get my pre-order in for the Xbox One X! Finally! I'm glad I was able to snag one before they sold out.

I went to the local GameStop and pre-ordered, since I had credit to apply. The clerk said they were allotted 14 for pre-order.

I don't really care about the "Project Scorpio" embellishments, or the stand since I don't use the console vertical.
He said all of the initial launch units were that model so I guess similar to the Day One Xbox One.

I think they charge the full amount and then it drops off and then gets charged again when it ships. But yeah, dumb.
