Even if you only had a PS4, it's a pretty great deal.
I used to have a PS3. I sold it right after I got an Xbone. Now I wish I'd kept it around, though a lot of those free games I played on the 360.

It was actually pretty funny. I got it for $9.99 (not sure if that's a sale or the normal price) and it was totally worth it.

Some of them worked fine this way, but others said I did not have a valid PS3 license in order to initiate the purchase.

actually saw a full cabinet at Walmart yesterday. I hadn't prepped my wife yet, so I didn't get one. I hope they're still around by Thursday.

New PS4 firmware (1.62) is out. No new features...just the usual:

Operation quality during use of some PlayStation 4 software has been improved.

I finally saw a couple at Gamestop last night, and I'll bet they're still available locally on Thurs.

It looks like a combination of initial hype finally settling down and/or Sony flooding the North American market after their Japan launch. If I didn't know better, I'd say Sony were trying to win the March NPDs, but it's more likely just them trying to maximize the last month of their fiscal year.

I'll bet they hit 7 million worldwide by the end of this month, and I think 15 million in the PS4's first calendar year is a real possibility. Infamous, Metal Gear, Watch Dogs, Arkham and Destiny will all move consoles, and The Order might be a sleeper hit as well.

To high five everyone as you proclaim victory. Seriously, some guys can go out and buy boats and other shit without much complaint. I remind my wife that I don't smoke, go out to bars nor spend any money on cars, boats or airplanes. Unless you or your spouse pinch every single penny you make, which is a sucky way to live, then buying a new console every few years shouldn't be that big of a deal. Hell, some people go out and buy the newest table or iphone for hundreds of dollars on almost a yearly basis.

The problem is when you buy the newest tablet and iphone every year, plus a boatload of games, a new TV, lots of Blu Rays, and then try to tell your wife that you also need a new console (or two) but still need to keep the old ones because of lack of backward compatibility.

Don't buy the newest tablets nor the iphone 5 despite Apple's efforts through detrimental software to make you previous version function poorly. Buy less blu rays a month and be selective about the games you buy.
