Every store i've been to around me always has xbox ones but never a PS4. I saw a PS4 only once at Target.

I've never seen a PS4 on the shelf. I see Xbox Ones nearly every time I'm out (today at Target, for example.)

I haven't seen a PS4 in stores, but just the other day I saw a pallet of XB1s at Costco. I was seriously thinking of just grabbing one. This was right before the Titanfall offer so I'm glad I didn't.

I saw a single PS4 at TRU about a month ago. I think they were selling forced bundles at the time though. I've seen X1's in every single store I've been in in the past month. Best Buy had a pallet of them a few weeks ago.

Gizmo must live in some magical Playstation dead zone.

I didn't know they or Xbox Ones were hard to find. The Ones were initially easier to find, but it seems like since January I've never not seen the Sony case empty (unless they are empty display boxes?).

I'm willing to take a picture if I make it out tomorrow (rain is crazy) if someone is willing to call me King Gizmo for the next month.

Most stock checkers only show if they have 3 or more in stock. Not really the greatest indicator (I don't even bother using them and call and ask employees. It's how I always get my iPads as they never show in stock).

Mine is mostly Target. Been to Wal-Mart once this year and they had both.

Probably just a region thing.

Must be VERY regional since I'm in So Cal too and have never seen a PS4 on a shelf. The only time I've seen one other than my own was on Thanksgiving at Walmart.

Now granted, I don't go out to the stores as much as I once did. It might just be that you go to the store earlier in the day than most of us do. Maybe a store has PS4s when they open, but by the end of the day they've sold the 1 or 2 they had that you saw.

I would say that if you see one on a shelf somewhere, it won't be there very long.

Since launch I've seen 2 on shelves once at a WalMart and another time at Target. I see XB1s all the time.

Xbox Ones are tremendously easy to find, I also haven't seen a PS4 in stock since launch.

What I have seen at Target have actually just been empty display boxes - you sure that's not what you've seen? Like I said, I'm in LA/OC as well, and all stores (especially Target) have been bare of PS4s.

Would they put empty display boxes inside the locked Sony case?

I'm asking because I wouldn't know as I would never ask them to take one out, but when I bought my Xbox One in December they came out of the Xbox case (none were empty as far as I could tell, I had him look to see if there was a 'black box' one in the back).

If I go in today, and see any, I'll snap a pic. I can PM you the location as well if you want to buy one.

Like I've said, I've seen these continually at Targets since around January. I really had no clue they were still considered hard to find (at least in major markets - maybe the smaller ones just don't carry them as much?).

For the sake of it, I did a search on Best Buy for availability of PS4 that extended almost 200 mile radius of Nashville Tn. It went all the way thru Kentucky, top of Alabama and 2/3 of the state..."0" Available.

However..for the Xbox One everyone of those stores show Available Now.

Somebody was streaming Dead Nation: Apocolypse over the weekend. Honestly, I couldn't tell much difference from the PS3 version (which I already own).

I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed with PS4's library of games so far. It seems everything is just a HD remake or a port of a PC game, and there really isn't a whole lot of "new" games to choose from. Infamous can't get here fast enough.

Took me almost two weeks to find a PS4 down here in the "Ghetto Tiny State" of Florida. I always check now just for the hell of it and at least when it comes to the Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Gamestop right in my general area, it's still pretty damn slim pickings when it comes to the PS4.

Anecdotal data: I've never seen a PS4 for sale in the wild. Seen lots of Xbox Ones. Costco always seems to have a big stock.
