That's weird, have you tried to force the download?

I bought 1886 and Wolfenstein during the Thanksgiving Sale and both downloaded in a couple hours.

Ew, can't imagine playing a Final Fantasy game like that - would feel weird to me to say, play through Midgar and then have to wait 4-6 months for more.

Really underwhelming press conference.

I wish Epic would make this more like Unreal Tournament III when it came out for the Xbox & PS3 where it was a good blend of co-op vs AI and also MP. I had a great time with that game and actually enjoyed it...shame they never continued it for the current gen. It seems some are leaning to straight out MP and forsaking any co-op w/AI at all anymore. I played the crap out of the original Unreal Tournament for the pc and you could go MP or against AI which was both fun. The game looks good though...but we're being swarmed with MP only games....and still have Battleborne and The Divison coming.

Well, it looks like it's going to be a multi-part series rather than one single release. So I'm sure the first part will be in 2016, but probably not the whole thing. What a gyp! Nickle & diming us for a freaking remake...

LOS ANGELES (Dec. 6, 2015) - During this past weekend’s PlayStation Experience in San Francisco, SQUARE ENIX® debuted a new trailer for FINAL FANTASY® VII REMAKE, the full remake of the award-winning role-playing game, FINAL FANTASY VII. The new trailer features the first CG scenes as well as gameplay footage. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.

I have to wait see about FF7 remake being episodic. Meanwhile I bought the original for the PS4 for $10.87 and it look a lot better than on PS3. No blurry look, plus there a new feature if you press the L3 stick you can have a no-encounter, good if you want to search something like chests and don't want to be bother with random battles.

Why would anyone play an episodic remake when everyone already knows how it ends?

Because people love the game and want to experience it again with today's technology. VII isn't my favorite in the series but if they did this for 9 (using another PS1 entry as example) I'd be all over it.

Without knowing the price, I don't know if you can say it's nickle and diming... yet. And honestly, the remake seems pretty substantial given the video compared to some of the other stuff we've gotten.

It's not about the ending, it's the journey?

It seems like they're changing a shit ton in game, so other then the story they already mentioned there would be additions and new areas. Depending on the price, i'd still be interested.

The way the videogame industry's been going lately, I can absolutely say that! Or at least, it's a more realistic stance than not.

You can predict it, but seems silly to complain now when there's zero details to actually know if it's true. I honestly haven't considered any episodic game nickel and diming (at least the ones i've paid attention to and played), since it's not like they end up more expensive then a regular game and if anything, end up cheaper when all the episodes are out.

Maybe they'll choreograph some new Victory Dance moves.

PlayStation Messages App Coming to iOS and Android Devices Today

Posted by John Koller on Dec 07, 2015 // Vice President, PlayStation Brand Marketing, SCEA

Connecting with friends on PlayStation Network is about to get even easier with the PlayStation Messages app for iOS and Android devices, available now. This app gives you a dedicated interface to quickly send messages to people on your friends list, right from your phone. Want to check if your friends are ready for a round of Zombies in Call of Duty: Black Ops III? The Messages app gives you an easy way to gather the team.

We know that Messages is the most used feature of the PlayStation App, so we created the standalone PlayStation Messages app with a more streamlined design in order to get you into your Messages and communicating with your friends faster than ever before.

The app will display your full friends list, sorted by online status or alphabetically. It will also show any Favorite Groups you’ve added to message several people at once. You can send text or voice messages, as well as stickers and attachments.

Making PS4 a socially connected experience has always been one of our core goals, and we think this app will help enhance that connectivity even further. Download the app and let us know what you think in the comments below!

No one gives a fuck!

Enough with the social media bullshit already! Work on stabilizing your online shit and stop unfinished games from being released.

If only companies had multiple teams to work on online infrastructure versus software!

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Mine got stuck once returning from sleep after installing the new HDD, the other two times it worked fine. I don't put mine into sleep very often, so I don't know if it'll continue to be a problem.

I've only used that feature three times, and twice I had to unplug my PS4 to get it restarted. So, yeah, fuck rest mode.
