Not in the least. You're gonna be laughing at most of us in two or three years.

No way. Free games every month. You'll get there eventually.

Personally, I have like 150 GB space left. Will likely delete some of my older, space hogging disc-based PS4 games like Killzone Shadow Fall (42 GB) and inFamous SS (21 GB) when I start running low on space later this year or early next year.
I'm waiting for the price of the 2 TB HDD to drop a bit and will replace it at that time. I'm in no rush yet and don't really see the point in upgrading to "just" a 1 TB drive. If you're going to upgrade, do it right.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

yes it is overkill

I still don't feel the need to upgrade the stock 500GB drive

just because there are free games or I am purchasing games doesn't mean I am playing them all at the same time or that they need to reside on my hard drive when I am not accessing them (you can always re-download later)

I'm sure in time more capacity may be needed (and am almost certain future models will come with a larger HDD) but most of us would have been bitching if the PS4 launched at $499.99 with a 1TB HDD

When you delete the game from your HDD, does it delete all of the downloaded updates? Games take so long to install and then update that I'm hesitant to move stuff around too much, because it's not exactly insert game and play like it used to be.

is it at least easier to find stuff to redownload? 2 or 3 times, I had to redownload all by Rock Band songs on my ps3 and it was such a PITA scrolling through my d/l list to find them, and then it would limit how many you could queue up at a time. I suppose it might be easier now that you can queue downloads from the web.

As far as I know if I deleted my copies of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 on PS3 or Double Dragon on the 360 I could not re-download them.
That's one of the main reasons I don't believe in digital copies of games. And also why I don't delete anything unless I absolutely have to.

Absolutely, positively not.

Did it last week and could not be happier. Check back a few pages for the two drives people have been using from Amazon.

Paid $90 for the external drive from best buy. Took it out of the casing and dropped it in the PS4. Literally took less than 15 minutes.

Why keep old disc based game on the HDD at all? First thing I did when I was done with Killzone, Knack and Infamous was delete them. I'm not going back to any of them for the foreseeable future. Plus, the ridiculously short install times makes it a no brainer.

Also, once I'm done with PS+ games, I'm deleting those as well. No need to keep the ones I don't like and chances I'll ever play through something like Contrast again? .05%. Working on Stick it to the Man right now, and that will get dumped soon too.

No reason to keep a virtual library of shit to sift through that I'm never going to play again.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Isn't the PS4 supposed to automatically delete least accessed/played installs when it's close to filling up anyway?

I hadn't heard that. I'm not sure I'd want my console going all TiVo on my ass and dumping shit on its own.

I might be confusing what they were calling cached data versus game installs before release.

Yeah this would not make me happy. My internet speed is also on the low end, so I think I'd rather avoid deleting and re-installing free/digital games

Minecraft is available now on the web store in the UK. If I weren't on my iPad and feeling lazy right now, I'd check to see if it's on the US store too.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I rented Minecraft on the PS3 recently. We'll see if that game save is enough to give me the PS4 version for $5. If not I still have the XO version for that price anyway.

That's funny, but I think the Xbox 360 name qualifies as well.

That'd make it 360 times more successful than the One.
