Last time I checked it was like almost 9 days worth? I've had the game for about a month but have only played it for about half of that, because I was out of town for a bit.

I've only logged about 1 day and 8 hours or so but that means nothing in terms of keeping up story-wise - which I'm glad is the case.

Re: Fallout 4

Played a bit yesterday. Finished up that thief mission for the Brotherhood and roamed a little. Discovered a new brewery and a couple hidden spots near the freedom trail but can't seem to find or know where to look for the entrance to the railroad. I know there was a robot near the swan pond that gave you a tour of the area but he's no longer there.

What I do see is more vermin creeping into the city limits as the Brotherhood is shooting at them from the air. They also drop in iniaties and dudes in power armor, too. I ran into another Legendary Deathclaw Matriarch. He killed the entire Brotherhood group that was shooting at it before I killed it.

I'm like at level 62 now.

Level 62 and you haven't met The Railroad LOL!

To find the entrance, go to the robot location and look for a red line. Just follow that red line. It seems to disappear at times, but it's there. Also, look for some clues along the road.

Yeah, i see that red line all the time but never see anything appear there. I'll walk around some more.

Although walking around that area I cleared out the statehouse, boylston club, and that basement pub yesterday.

Yeah, the red line disappears almost immeditaely when you start following but it shows up across the street - it will never be too far out of site - they just want you to fight a ton of shit before getting there - this is where I'm at now. I'm just gearing up at my red rocket before heading out again - gonna leave pipers sweet ass out of this one as well.

Finally found it! Piper goes wherever I go. Found an XO Power Suit in the Club 36 (or is 36) building. Had to destroy an Assaultron and one of those big tank robots to get it. Piper rides that mech suit.

I made it to

So now what? Is it even worth it to play and end with the other alternate endings?

Re: Fallout 4

The ending cinematic is virtually the same. The missions to get there are obviously different though.

And depending on who you side with, you'll lose the relative HQ locations in the map.

Re: Fallout 4

Surprised by the lack of mentions about the DJ Travis. If there was a local radio station DJ with his delivery, I would listen all the time. He always brings a smile when he is talking so bored and uncomfortably.

I am not super far into the game. Are there any other radio station's or DJs like the one Travis is one. I love the station and the songs but the music can get really repetitive.

I never listen to any of the radio stations unless they are required for a mission.

Re: Fallout 4

I listened to the radio for the first 10 hrs or so but the track list is just way too short. So now, I don't play the radio at all.

If you are playing on computer there are a number of options (mods). I really like "RadioActive" which replaces the classical station with more more music from that era. There is also a mod that lets you replace songs with your own music.

I play with Spotify (PS4) on in the background. Just need to pause it if there's a dialog-heavy scene on.

"More where that came from" mod is great too. It adds over 100 new songs to Travis' station.

I'm loving experimenting with mods on PC. Lots of useful tweaks, like faster text on computer terminals, tags for organizing inventory, faster power armor exit, etc.

Re: Fallout 4

So I Cheated and went on youtube to figure out that f'n freedom trail (I always lost site of that damn red line) all I needed was to see where to go in "one turn" and I was fine after that. I don't feel guilty though as I would have NEVER have known to look down at the circles on the ground so your character can read off the clues and hey, maybe someone can confirm if the full trail opens or not based on whether you stop to read all the clues.

I'm moving along again but something tells me I will be beating the game soon (main story line only....I have a ton of side quests to do but I like it that way) I built the platform and all that but need to go back to my red rocket for more copper to build more wire to connect everything but before I even do that I want to meet that railroad dude first.

I feel bad as I never followed up with Preston on making the minutemen stronger since the beginning of the game - oh well.

After I bang piper I'm going to take codsworth along with me based on everyone in this thread saying he's strong when fighting enemies. I have dogmeat decked out with a spiked muzzle and protective harness but I never use him anymore, he just lays in his dog house all the time.

I wonder why they put so many shit guns in this game? I went through the mod list and didn't see anything that would make them much stronger but again, I'm only a level 17 so maybe there will be more mods available after leveling up more?

From here on out, I'm also going to wear my power armor indefinitely - Even if it's blown to shit and no longer protecting me that well, it still does a good job and I can carry a ton of shit.

lastly - does anyone know an effective way to stop them asshole suicide super mutants? I tried shooting the nuke they carry but it doesn't so anything and I'm sick of wasting mines on them (although those bottlecap mines are pretty sweet).

Oh actually I did want to add: I wish this game was a little less heavy with e sci-fi - I mean building the teleporter is kind of goofy, it just looks goofy and doesn't seem to fit in the game -I mean yes, I know ghouls, mutants, & synths aren't grounded in reality but it fits more with the wasteland vibe - It's a minor gripe but I mention it because something so minor really kind of took me out of the game for a bit.

Re: Fallout 4

I've taken down suicide super mutants by highlighting in VATS the arm they hold the nuke. Works every time. Maybe you need better accuracy stats?

Has anyone banged Cait - she's the brawler character. The Irish or Scottish one. Reminds me of the redhead broad from GOT from the snow people. She's very rough and tumble.

Makes me wish I played the PC, but hopefully when they add mods to Xbox I'll get something like this. I love the radio stations in these, the songs put me in the mood for playing and I like hearing what the DJ has to say about whatever I've done, but there needs to be way more songs.

Also, in this one, as far as the DJ,
Spoiler:
there's a quest you can do that makes him more confident, although I kind of miss the completely incompetent early version of him.
