the one thing i've gotta say that i absolutely fucking hate with this game, is that when you are loading it, if you start a new game, it automatically saves over your current save. so far, my son who is not quite 5 yet, has already deleted 5 game saves. he just did it again with the toy story one. accidentally started a new game and it deleted about 7 hours of previous game play. now he's mad because he lost all the guns and everything in the game.

is it so hard to have multiple game slots?

It does have multiple save slots if you manually save instead of just relying on the auto-save. At least, that is my memory of it (haven't played in a while).

Is the Phineas and Perry toy box supposed to be the last two figures for this game? It seems like it based on the email gs sent. Perhaps no new figures until the new game drops?

FYI the 50% off toy box is a bit misleading as they're using a $39.99 price as the base. Maybe amazon will match it.

I don't know how good a deal this may be as I really don't keep up with this game much. That said:

The Wal-Mart ad in today's paper shows a "Exclusive Gift Set" for Frozen which contains a Blu-ray combo pack (BR/DVD/DC) of the film with a Disney Infinity Elsa figure. It will be available March 18th for $21.96. That's only a couple of $$ more than the BR combo pack.

There goes my wallet. I still wonder if the EA development means we won't get a Star Wars expansion/game.

They still haven't really expanded into the classic movies, including more Disney Princess stuff, or even the classic characters besides Sorceror Mickey. A Frozen level by itself probably boost the sequel a bit, but might as well strike while the iron is hot with Marvel.

I got my last set, the Phineas and Agent P set... that's the last one, right? So no Ferb? I'm not a gigantic fan of them but that seems a bit odd.

The Marvel heroes need to be playsets. Enough of Toy Box mode for me. I won't buy them without a playset.

Looks like Toys R Us will finally have the Merlin/Wizard exclusive disc from series one out tpday. Also, it looks like the will be carrying the series 3 discs and they are buy one pack get one free.

I went and grabbed the new gold pack with Merlin and about 25 packs of series 3 discs of which I need 15 of the 17 total discs. Two of the series 3 discs come with the Phineas and Ferb set and are P&F theme related discs. Despite having bought so many packs and scanning and sorting them, there is still one damn disc that I didn't get and it is the Mulan/Fireworks discs that isn't a rare or anything. I was just not lucky enough to get one. I did, however, get 3 of the Wall-E Exclusive Jet Pack discs in the various assortments of packs. Go figure!

For series 3, did they fix it so you couldn't scratch for the rares? I ended up buying series 2 from Target so I didn't have to search for anything and was disappointed they didn't do the same for series 3..

There is only one rare this time, Wall-E extinguisher jetpack, and you can still scratch for it. I might have made a mistake by returning the factory messed up Merlin disc as it was off-center. There are people out there willing to pay for these errors. Oh well!

I went in yesterday to pick up a few packs of series 3. Out of 4 packs, I was lucky enough to get the Wall-E jetpack disc. Only double I received was the Tantor Elephant from Tarzan.

How can you tell which ones contain the Merlin disc? I looked at all the TRU exclusive packs but did not see any markings on the pack indicating which ones contain it.

Also, I have only purchased a few packs as I have been lucky enough to pick up quite a few off of ebay dirt cheap. By "scratch", does that mean being able to figure out what discs are in each pack without opening them? I have heard of people being able to do that, but haven't really looked into it enough to figure out how.

The scratch trick is to find the rare as they have a different texture. To find the disc contents wihtout opening them, you have to take them home and put them on the portal.

You have to check the UPC for the TRU exclusives. Each one has it's own UPC. I forgot the merlin upc. You should be able to google it though.
