Poll is 0-27-5 right now. No way will the PS4 sell 6.5x better than the X1, no matter how much we all bitch. Though the NPD numbers will really let us know how much the general sheeple will take just to play the exclusive games.

None of it is analogous though. You're talking about relatively small file sizes and short downloads. No one needs CDs except audiophiles or people that just like physical media. With bandwidth caps and upward of 50gb downloads, digital gaming isn't going to be the norm for awhile.

Pre-ordered the PS4 at Amazon. For that price might as well. Like what I've see of Watch Dogs and inFamous so far.

Well, we're not going to be the typical video game consumer. We buy more games and are more aware of DRM and the like. But still, it's hard to see why the more casual gamer would choose an Xbox One over a PS4 for $100 more. For the ability to change channels? Hell, the HTC One does that for god's sake.

PS4 for me. nothing shocking there. Dunno if I'll go launch day but I will be planning to have it for Destiny - that looked awesome.

Damn right it did...a Half-Life setting with Killzone graphics and just a sprinkle of Borderlands...with online coop. Yes, please.

Voted "Not sure because" but it could also be "neither".

I plan on building a new PC this fall. I have a 360 but I only really used that for sports games. If I get a console it'll be at least a year after launch.

I disagree. We are people that will drop $500+ on launch day. We are also the ones that boost the almighty attach ratio. Really, they should be catering to us.

Microsoft messed up on two fronts -- the DRM stuff turns away hardcore gamers / techies. The higher price turns away the casuals.

I voted both. Preordered the Xbox One, will get the PS4 in 2014, probably in the holidays.

Buying the PS4 for sure and have a xbone reserved in case it can make me money. If that's not an option, I'll just send it back. I'm sticking with Sony this gen unless they royally screw up. I was all set to by both consoles until a few months ago. Surprising to me, I've put much more time in the 360 over my ps3.

I picked both, Xbox is first and PS4 is next year if they get some games that make me want it :)
