Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
I am so loving this game.. although I wish the multiplayer had at least double the amount of real drivers.
I got the Hennessy car up to 272 in one of the speed traps and I think it actually hit 275.. but the Aventador is my favorite police car by far. |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
If I get any cash for the upcoming holiday I will certainly be getting this for XBOX One. Dying to play another NFS.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Yeah, this is still my favorite PS4 game so far. I keep playing it in small chunks because I don't want it to end. The good news is I still haven't even started the cop career yet, so I still have that to look forward to.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Bought this the other day and am enjoying it much more than I expected to.
One issue I have is unless I am missing it, there is no rearview mirror or button to press to look behind you. A driving game with no rearview, seriously? |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
It actually took me awhile to notice the rear view mirror, it's VERY subtle. You don't see the track behind you, just the relative location of cars that are behind you. To get a look behind the car, just pull the right stick back.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Thank you! That will help so much.
I have a love/hate relationship with this game. It is loads of fun, but I cannot imagine what an interceptor bust will be like on hard level. It is annoying enough on easy because the CPU racers are so fast and drive perfectly. |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Chess, I finally beat your time on a race. By less than a second. So take that! ;)
I think I'm on the final chapter, with only two more cars to get. It's getting a little tough so I'm trying to decide to grab the Enzo or wait for the Huayra. Trying to bank 250,000 SP without getting busted is going to be a bitch. |
Just installed and started the game. Perhaps I should of waited another day or so to play because the cold medicine cocktail I've been taking has really messed up my reaction time. I'm going to finish the tutorial stuff and might quit once that is over. I need more sleep anyway.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Well. I'm to the final chapter and just need to beat the Round the world Hot Pursuit in order to get the last car. What a bitch. I keep getting to about 3 miles to go and then taken down as there aren't any repair points.. Like 3 times in a row this happened. Very frustrating on a 28-29mile race.
In other news I've discovered that doing the interceptors are the fastest way to get money. Just take down the cop, repair car, start interceptor over, then repeat. I got to heat 10 in no time. |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
I've had a copy of this for the PS4 sitting for a couple of weeks now. Is the tutorial a necessity or can
I just jump in and figure it out? |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
If it's like the PC version, you have no choice.
|
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Yeah, I don't remember the tutorial being very long or annoying though.
|
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Played this a good bit over the weekend on PC.
Really fun game, looks great too. |

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Went back and played some Grid 2 to try it out.
Rivals has made other racers look unbearably ugly. |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Finished up the racer campaign last night. That final race was intense! So now I'm playing through the cop campaign.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
Not sure. It logged me out twice during races yesterday. So I finally stopped logging back in. I did manage to come in first though, but from the way it was worded, I think you just had to finish the race without getting busted.

Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
I'm too dumb for this game - I can't wrap my head around what to do. For racing games, I need to pick my race off of a menu, not drive to a location.
|
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
You still do that. Just find a race on the map, select it and start there. Already in the game? Go to the map, select a race and follow the GPS to it.
What I don't like about it is there is no lazy mans restart race button. |
Re: Need For Speed Rivals (360, PS3, PC, PS4, XOne)
To win races, did you guys level up a lower end car to the max or did you buy the latest and greatest cars as they became available?
