Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

yeah, i learned that last night. basically, when you go to a neighbor's town, you go right to the tree. just drop those first, then click on the cards second. i accidentally dropped many behind buildings since there is no real good way to tell were it will land except in the middle of the screen.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finally got all of the prizes I needed from the holiday wheel. Only took me about 100 spins. I figured I'd end up spending donuts to get them by the end anyway (since it's basically one spin per day) so I just used donuts until I was able to collect everything. I was so close sometimes; it felt like it would speed up through the prizes and slow down in the money.

Thanks again to all those dropping gift bags in my town. I'm trying to repay the favor!

Screw that wheel. I had the same issue Canis did but for the Temple.

Whotony, I see your request, and I'm going to add you. Need to delete some people that I added a year ago who don't play anymore since my list is full.

bluetoast, am I reading my friends list right - are you really at 30,0000 gift cards? If so, how'd you get that many so fast?

i assume he used donuts. he's always got a crazy amount. maybe he used that trick in the past to get a bunch.

I just started playing and am only on level 8. How exactly do you add friends?

Tap the picture of Bart and Milhouse in the lower right. Then tap the origin symbol (orange round thing) in the lower right. That should take you right to "Add friends."

Assuming your name in Tapped Out is Braddok, I just sent you a friend request.

Yeah, I dropped a bunch behind stuff from clicking on cards then dropping bags from where I stopped. At least it's easier than planting eggs. Actually, after snakes, ghosts, and boardwalk tiles, these visits are a piece of cake. i just need to remember to use the arrows instead of returning to the main friends screen as I've always done.

Yes, the OP lists user names for all the players here, though some have abandoned the game. You're probably safe adding any of us who are staying active in this thread. Unlike Facebook, I will accept any invites. :)

yeah.. and screw EA/Origin support.. Here's the reply that I got back. They state because I got the pop up for $1000.. that was all I would get. They did give 15 donuts.. which was nice.. but that wasn't why I opened a support request thinking they'd give me donuts in addition to the building.....

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

Hello Paul, my name is Karam and I have got the opportunity to assist you with your case today. After reviewing your mail I came to know that you received $1000 in game cash while the peg was stuck in between the corresponding building which was just besides the cash icon. I have seen the screenshot you have provided to us and I really want to appreciate your efforts. Please know that the image that you have seen, shows that the peg was at the knob and pointing towards the building but the pop up that you got was for winning the cash. It may have caused due to server connectivity issue and you may not have been able to see the further spinning of the wheel. However, I understand your disappointment and want to wish good luck for winning something better in your next spin. As you are our valued customer and seeing your in game progress I came to know about your attachment towards this game, hence I have added 15 donuts to your account as a one time appeasement to help you in making your town much more better.

I hope this helps. Thank you for providing me this opportunity to assist you. Have a nice day and take care.
The wheel stopped.. there was no "further spinning" that I missed.. sounds like a cheap cop-out answer so they can refuse to award what I should have won according to the wheel.

Wow, that bites. I've recently heard that other ppl were having similar issues with the wheel with it speeding up or slowing down at the last moment. Seems that it may be a little rigged to maximize the chances of ppl buying coins to get everything they want. But I could be wrong. Either way, that sucks.

so is the best thing to do with the elves just to not click presents all day, then just let them run wild when you do it?

That's my plan. I'll tap on any that I see in the open.. but the hidden ones, behind buildings, etc.. I'll just leave them there and let the elves go wild once a day. I did that yesterday and the gift card counter shot up like crazy while they were zipping around my town.

You can invisible the buildings and see all the boxes. I'm not paying 40 donuts for that when I only have 70.

You get an Elf House as part of the personal prizes for collecting gift certificates. I think when you get to 6000? Not sure.. Its the one before the last in the top row. You can buy more for donuts, I believe.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

you get an elf house for free if you get enough gift cards. it is the 3rd prize, iirc.

I know. it should have been one of the early 2 gifts.

I guess I shouldn't complain when people are still having trouble getting in, but I just visited four towns and Sideshow Bob was in three of them.
