Sending one nerd to each building spreads the risk if you are playing regularly. If you are exploiting the glitch and avoiding playing until all attacks are timed out, then all attacks will be counted as wins. You'll be getting full credit for each nerd, but the amount of time that you'll need to avoid playing will be longer.

As I said before, I prefer to play so I haven't been using the glitch.

Attacking randoms means using the top grey-ax button to go to random towns rather than visiting your neighbors. I attack my neighbors first, but when I'm out of them, I hit randoms. They tend to be easier to attack because I don't have to skip past people who aren't playing, don't have to bother with neighbor taps, etc.

Ahh.. that explains why I see gains of like 40 Elixir and 5 coins, etc. I check my game many times throughout the day. Though I am tempted to do it the other way now because I'm not sure I'm going to get all the upgrades and prizes at this point.. I need to see if they have a tracking calendar like the sites have done for past events so you know if you are on track.

And  Holy crap how do they expect a person playing the game normally to be at those levels?

According to that calendar for tomorrow, since today is pretty much over, I should be at 12,672 to be on track to get everything. I'm at half that amount. :(

Guess I'll be starting the method that was posted earlier to send all nerds out and wait until the last one times out for the auto-wins.. at least until I catch up to where the calendar says I should be at.

I barely played this event, maybe sent nerds to attack once a day or sometimes twice. I have 30K gold...it's not that hard at all.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

There is over a month left on this event. If you play throughout the day, and don't waste your nerds on mass attacks, then I think it would be hard to not complete this event. I got all the prizes last month. I'm far from setting a record, though I probably play more than most.

The main difficulty I could see, for those who can't play much, would be if EA fixes the glitch that guarantees a winners payout for all attacks if you wait out the timer.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I sent 80 nerds out to attack 80 castles just before midnight Tuesday evening, each castle requiring no more than 18h to reduce, then went to bed. Didn't touch the game in the morning. Went to work, returned home, and opened TSTO up after 6pm Wednesday evening.

14,000 Elixir and 5,000 Gold. (So I apparently had 20 other nerd-on-castle attacks from earlier Tuesday evening that hadn't yet been defended with I sent out my wave of 80.)

Currently I am reinvesting all of my Elixir in castle upgrades so I can max-out both the number of nerds I'm generating and to raise the capacity limit as high as possible. I don't care about increasing my town's defense level any - there's no benefit to me and it only makes it harder for others to profit from attacking me.

Primary Castle is Level 19... spawns 30 Nerds every 2h. I'm done here. The next Level adds +1 Defense, and Level 21 will take over 100K Elixir to reach and yields only a castle wall (worth 100 Elixir).

Lisa's Castle is Level 16... 25 Nerds / 2h. Level 17 adds +1 Defense, but Level 18 adds +5 Nerds. Takes a total of 12,800 Elixir to achieve both levels. Those extra 5 Nerds will earn 140 Elixir each, or 700 Elixir per day for the lot of them. It will take 19 days to break even and begin to turn a profit, but with more than 30 days in the event I could be looking at a profit of over 8,000 Elixir - enough for 80 walls. Bart's Castle is also at Level 16. Same as above, though I'll want to completely upgrade Lisa's to Level 18 before I start leveling-up Bart's.

Presently, when I collect the overnight raid reward at 6pm, I go ahead and send my Nerds out and attack anything I come across - castles if they're there, otherwise houses - just to get them doing something. A little after 8pm, I do it again. When my post-10pm Nerds spawn, those guys get sent on the overnight castle-only raid. Starting this evening, I am going to hold back some of the 8pm Nerds so that I can add them to the 10pm Nerds and send out a Max Capacity raid. I spawn 80 Nerds every 2 hours, my capacity is 110, so I will hold back 30 of the 8pm Nerds. Those extra 30 overnight raiders should generate an additional 4200 Elixir and 1500 Gold.

As long as the overnight raids continue to work as they have, I should have a metric crapton of Elixir by the end of September... I'm gonna have walls and towers and gates and haycarts and stocks and banners out the ass!

Barbarian Castle Level 10
Boxingham Palace Level 6

Level 10 is 15 Nerds every 2 hours
Level 6 is 10 Nerds every 2 hours
By my math, you should be generating 45 Nerds at a time... that tracks

Barbarian Level 10 has a capacity of 50 Nerds
Recycle/Boxingham Level 6 add 5 each, so your Max should be 60.

Here's the rundown:

<table><tr><td align=center><u>Level</u></td><td align=center><u>Nerds</u></td><td align=center><u>Base Cap</u></td><td align=center><u>Add'l Cap</u></td></tr><tr><td align=center>1</td><td align=center>5</td><td align=center>40</td><td align=center>0</td></tr><tr><td align=center>2</td><td align=center>10</td><td align=center>40</td><td align=center>0</td></tr><tr><td align=center>3-6</td><td align=center>10</td><td align=center>45</td><td align=center>5</td></tr><tr><td align=center>7-8</td><td align=center>15</td><td align=center>45</td><td align=center>5</td></tr><tr><td align=center>9-11</td><td align=center>15</td><td align=center>50</td><td align=center>10</td></tr><tr><td align=center>12</td><td align=center>20</td><td align=center>50</td><td align=center>10</td></tr><tr><td align=center>13-14</td><td align=center>20</td><td align=center>55</td><td align=center>15</td></tr><tr><td align=center>15</td><td align=center>25</td><td align=center>55</td><td align=center>15</td></tr><tr><td align=center>16-17</td><td align=center>25</td><td align=center>60</td><td align=center>20</td></tr><tr><td align=center>18</td><td align=center>30</td><td align=center>60</td><td align=center>20</td></tr><tr><td align=center>19+</td><td align=center>30</td><td align=center>70</td><td align=center>30</td></tr></table>
  • Your "Base Cap" is determined by the level of your primary (Barbarian) castle.
  • "Add'l Cap" is determined by the level of Lisa's (Recycle) and Bart's (Boxingham) castles. Each castle adds value to your overall capacity independently.
  • To calculate your Maximum Capacity, look up the Base Cap (from Barbarian Castle), the Add'l Cap (from Recycle), and the Add'l Cap (from Boxingham) and add those figures together.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I invited one person who had posted recently in this thread, but deleted the invite after it sat there for two weeks.

I haven't tried the glitch. I sent out 60 nerds before bedtime and six hours later had acquired 1346 gold. It's not close to 5K but not bad. Of course that would have been cumulative since I try to send out nerds as soon as I get them. Currently at 26K so I should be able to hit all the prizes.

I'm also pleased that I'm back up to 53 donuts after expending almost my whole stash on the Otto deal. Event bonuses, leveling up, and neighbor visits have all contributed.

Same here and I'm at just under 39k gold. One nerd at a time is working fine for me. I'm on track to complete Pointless-Yet-Compulsive Pt. 5 today or tonight. I hope they add more prizes because as it stands that looks to be the end.

Don't know about prizes, but they added more stuff to buy with elixir. Guess they realized a lot of us weren't upgrading our castles after Level 10 and just stockpiling elixir.

Though somebody should tell them Le Guillotine wasn't medieval.

I just saw that. That must've been what today's update was all about.

I finished that quest earlier than I thought I would and it said I've claimed all of the prizes. The new one is just about amassing more gold:

About those last prizes:

Spoiler:
Based on the silhouette I thought that the prize was going to be a couple of nerd packs, but it's a statue and three banners. The statue gives you a decent job money multiplier, which is nice.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just launched my game after last touching it yesterday. There was an update. Did they fix the glitch perhaps? The dialogue after the update went over attacking and defending and how you get more rewards when you attack and destroy a building compared to less when its defended against by the person.

As an update. I'm now at 7270 Gold.

Lisa: Level 7
Bart: Level 5
Homer: Level 9
Marge: Level 2

Castle Recycle: Level 7
Boxingham Palace: Level 7
Barbarian Castle: Level 10

I sent out 45 Nerds yesterday to random buildings.. not many of them were castles. Then didn't touch the game until today. I got 2680 Elixir and 965 Gold.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

sorry if this has been asked before but why did they make attacking a random person's building more per building than attacking your neighbor's? I get 17? elixirs and ?? gold for attacking a building from my neighbor list but 70 elixirs and 25 gold for attacking a random person using the battle axe icon. Seems EA should have the attacks on neighbors be worth more. I am not complaining but what if anything are they going to do for another month for all the people that hit all the prizes already. I get more elixirs everyday but nothing really to buy but pointless upgrades or stock up on castle walls.

It worked for me too and now I finally feel like I have a chance to do something in this event. Woke up to over 4k elixer and 2k gold so I will at least get the Marge skin. Hate missing out on free costumes.

My assumption has been that it's easier to collude with your friends to have them not defend you and you won't defend them so everyone gets full rewards and thus not playing within the "spirit" of the event. So they made the rewards more enticing with strangers where it's much harder to collude. At least that's my take.

Looks like the update I got earlier might be prep for the next update/level coming.

Just saw this on the Tapped Out Facebook page.

Spoiler:
A hacker's on the loose in Springfield and not even your deepest, darkest thoughts are safe. Especially that one you're thinking right now. And seriously, that's disgusting. Stay tuned for Level 44 and a new update to find out what this hacker wants!

In-store update for Android. Those using the wins glitch might want to wait until after collecting their winnings tomorrow before downloading in case they've fixed the glitch.
