You should spend all that time cursing EA. I'm convinced that they pushed Claus Co. and the Ice God on me to stop the constant flow of hellfire that must have been raining down upon their heads.

Peter Moore: We're still getting the hellfire. We gave him Claus Co. and the Ice God yesterday.

Flunky: He tried the disconnect thing and lost the Ice God.

Peter Moore: Damn! Give it to him again.

Yeah I've been trying to clear the damn wheel. Finally got the yeti this morning. Now I can start this NYD questline.

almost on the 24 hour homer one for NYD. I appreciate the 10 (and possibly more) free donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I just looked at the end of the 24 hour task.

Spoiler:
You get nothing. way to troll, EA. People sped up the task thinking they'd get a bunch of donuts. Woops!

I get quote, report, select, and send private message as options, no spoiler button, though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got Barney this morning, now I just need to get the bowling alley in my mystery box one day. I just have the shelter and snow god left, and I don't care about the snow god. EA needs to either offer donuts for cash or take cash away as prizes, I received $250 cash in my mystery box a couple of weeks ago, I was not happy.

I think the only things I have now to get from the wheel are snow Santa's Little Helper and snow Snowball 2. I got Snowman Bart this morning.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Forcing me to choose between keeping Homer hidden and picking up more gift cards in the hopes I can get the yeti, or go for the 10 donuts and finally get Otto Man. It's a tough choice.

Is the NYD quest only for today, NYD? Because if so, there's your answer.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

FYI, as long as you send homer on the 24 hour task by today, you'll finish the quest. But, since the 24 hour quest gives you nothing at the end, do the 9 short ones (takes like 15 minutes), get your 10 free donuts, then just do the other tasks again.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I love the NYD quest. I mean the dialogues.

I haven't started it yet, since Homer won't be available until the afternoon , but I already read all the spoilers

Oh yeah, I have a tile!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I was checking out the EA support site and saw...

ATTENTION: The Lemon Tree is currently disabled and cannot be stolen at this time. Sorry! We do hope to get this ability restored in the future, but at this time we cannot estimate when that may be. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we greatly appreciate your patience.
To me, this is insane. I would not like my Lemon Tree to get stolen.

I remember having read somewhere that there had been some disagreement between EA and Apple. Supposedly, Apple would not allow the stealing of any game item that might have been purchased via donuts that where purchased via iTunes.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Plow King came up on the second spin. I have exhausted the real prizes. 26 coins in the bank. I guess I can start rooting for money.

Honestly this will likely never come back. It was implemented when the game had its original soft/buggy launch. When the game was relaunched in earnest in August 2012, this was removed.

yeah people would friend you, steal your lemon tree and then de-friend you.

I don't think this is coming back.

The game has had two lives. When it was first released in March 2012, it was shut down after a couple of months or so due to server and gameplay issues. It was relaunched in August 2012.

The ability to steal a neighbor's lemon tree and then steal it back 24 hours later was part of the game; mimicking the plot of the lemon tree episode.

Again, this was only in that first run of the game. It's been gone ever since.

As Lateralus pointed out, it was a flawed game design.
