I decided to save up four tokens and see if that helped my luck on my last two items. Nope, I got $4,000.

I saw a listing somewhere of the percentages built into the wheel. The snow monster and the Claus Co. building were each less than 2%. The money slots were 20% each..

How do you get more than one token a day?

If anyone wants to add me I could use the help. I'm only on level 11 or 12.

I've got 10 spin tokens saved up, and I really want to get ClausCo and Plow King Barney, so I'm gonna try the trick from post # 2740

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/11957948-post2740.html

(For me, it's a simple matter to pull the hard line going into the WiFi router. Just leave the game connected and the router ON so they're still linked... there's just nothing going out the other side to EA master control)

My wheel right now is:
ClausCo
Gold GC
Silver GC
Bronze GC
$1000 (x2)
Plow King Barney
Snowman (x2)
Xmas decoration for Willie's shack

kenbuzz 12-30-13 10:31 PM

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Got

1...Bart Snowman
2...50 GC
3...$1000
4...Plow King Barney!

Stopping here w/6 spins left. Reconnecting & syhcning. Will try again when I get back to 10 spins.

With replacements, the wheel is now:
ClausCo
Gold GC
Silver GC (x2)
Bronze GC
$1000 (x2)
Snowman (x2)
Xmas decoration for Willie's shack

Once you get all the individual prizes, every 1000 GC gets you another token. You can also sometimes (very rarely) get a token in a gift bag.

You can get 30 GC per day per friend by visiting your friends and tapping on their buildings. Make sure you tape buildings with GCs or spray paint over them, not cash.

I just sent you a friend request. I thought I had already friended you, but that was Braddok37864, not Braddok3786409. Weird.

As for me, I just got Helter Shelter, so I am one Claus Co. away from being done with the wheel!!!

By the way, Braddok, I don't see the Jebediah Springfield statue in your new Springfield either. Comes with 10 free donuts. That's a good chunk of donuts.

If you don't already have him...
Spoiler:
Tap Homer. After his menu pops up, keep tapping him. Shortly thereafter the donuts and statue should pop up.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Disconnecting can be a double-edged sword. 1st spin: $1000. 2nd Spin: Ice God. "Cannot connect to server." Reconnected and was back at the $1000 win notice. I assume that it disconnected before the Ice God was put in my inventory.

I did later get Claus Co. I think I've only got two prizes left. Ice God and Plow King. As a strictly free player, I doubt I'll ever get Barney so Plow King isn't a big deal.

My only two prizes left are Claus Co. and Ice god. I got the ice dog yesterday. :(

Small update this morning. tstotopix says it removed the Gil deal and restored the golden scratch-r, but I'm not seeing either of those things. The Gil ad is gone, true, but the donut bonus remains, and now it doesn't have a countdown, just saying "limited time."

Added Mankal and Braddok (new username) to the OP. Did I miss anyone else who has joined, recently?

I got the update and now have the Golden Scratch-R tickets but haven't looked into the donuts.

I also don't think I'm ever going to get Claus Co. Bummer.

So how much is left after Homer and Lisa hide for 24 hours? If I just keep them doing that through the 7th am I going to miss anything spectacular if I don't finish the storyline?

I think the only thing after that is
Spoiler:
Lisa does something, then you collect 50 presents, and then it just ends. So pretty much nothing. You'd be better off continuing to go for Claus Co.

Had three spins day before yesterday, got Plow King and Ice God! Only thing left is helter shelter and claus co. I got the yeti on my second spin on the second day of the event.

EDIT: Golden Scratchers are back for me but only for cash purchases, can't seem to use my Amazon coins.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I only have Snowball II, Claus Co, and the Yeti left on my spinning wheel. I have four spins saved up. Not sure if I want to bother with that wifi trick because it sounds a little complicated but I dunno...

Quick question: by and large, the people looking for Homer and Lisa all walk along the same line - the road on the south side of town. I have my water there cutting off the town from the middle section and the house farm. Does this have anything to do with being near water? Should I ask Ray Reddy if they like water?

FYI, New Year's Day may unlock a quick four-part Homer quest line with
Spoiler:
a few free donuts and some hints of some 2014 updates to come.
So you might want to keep him free, as it may only be a one day type of quest.

I still have around 50 gift bags to give out, but it looks like every DVDTalker I have on my neighbor list is over 30k save for a couple who look like they're not playing anymore and have maxed out untapped bags and presents.

Well, here's that I'm doing:
1 - Connected to the Interwebs via WiFi through my home router.
2 - Clearing out all of the floating thumbs and dollar signs (except one or two on the Squidport entrance - still collecting tiles!) and sending all of my characters off on tasks.
3 - Visit a friend, then come back to force the game to refresh.
4 - Set the game down, walk over to the router, pulling the RJ-45 line that brings the Interdoodles in.
5 - Walk back to my game... see, it's still connected! (Thing is, it's only connected to the router, the router is experiencing a connection issue!)
6 - Spin to win!
7a - If I get something I like, set the game down, jack the RJ-45 back into the router, pick up the game, visit a friend, come back, watch it synch.
7b - If I don't get anything I like, exit the game, delete it (yes, I want to delete all my game data too), then reboot the device. Jack the router back in, wait for device, go to app store, download the game again, install all of the updates, synch the game with EA's servers... and hey, I'm back at Step 1 again!

Are you doing it similarly enough?

I'm still working my way to 30K if you want to shake a few bags my way.

Exactly the same. Once disconnected the game still worked. At some point the game must try to talk to EA. Getting no answer it cuts to the disconnected page and asks me to retry.

I don't know what happened that made it try to contact the server. Maybe more presents where scheduled to drop. Maybe it just calls the server at certain intervals.

The second time I just turned the router off rather than put down the tablet to put the plug back. It took me about 7 spins until I hit Claus Co. I turned the router back on. Waited nervously for it to light up. While waiting I spun a few more times with the hope that it might distract the game from calling the server again. When the router was lit, I left the wheel and started building Claus Co.

Without the inopportune disconnect, I'd have had both Claus Co. and the Ice God.

Man, KillerPenguin71 is going to hit 100K.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Went to the wheel again tonight. Ice God on the first spin. Only missing Snow King now. I'll probably keep going with it. Free stuff is free stuff, even if it's useless. And this stuff won't take up closet space.

I have a fantasy that at 100,000 gift cards, they'll give me a boatload of donuts. Or send Miss Springfield to my house. I'll report back if I get either.

Noticed that Toddarino is just about at 100K as well.

I forgot about the NYD quest and have Homer on a task till 5 a.m.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm up late / up early and just did the Homer NYD storyline. It's short and filled with short tasks so if you have a few building or people or friend's towns to tap, maybe start with Homer to get his storyline underway so you can do both at the same time and not end up sitting around waiting for Homer to do his thing. Basically, the storyline is...
Spoiler:

1. 3 tasks of 45 seconds each (complaining about EA on the internet) for 2 free donuts.
2. 3 more tasks of 45 seconds each (more complaining about EA on the internet) for 2 more free donuts.
3. 3 tasks of 3 minutes each (more more complaining about EA on the internet) for 6 more donuts.
4. 1 task for 24 hours (cease complaining about EA on the internet) for ??? That's where I'm at now...

Up to five spins ready to go. I think I'll save up twenty and then keep spinning all in a row. THAT'LL get me Claus Co, right?!
