All I care about is the Infinity Ward guys. I want a COD style game that doesn't have Activision's name on it.

To this day of all the COD games I've played, I still look at COD4: Modern Warfare as my favorite. But I did like World at War for it's flashback of WWII and especially the co-op which I cannot understand why it's never been added since.

Yea, count the "upgradeable route" out. From all indications the ram, cpu and gpu will probably be custome made for both PS4 and "720". The question is if what we're hearing that this will use the same PC architecture then why not...of course it's probably due to costs.
Then again if you look at the "Steam Box" from Valve, in which they are claiming upgradeable boards then why not. Again the Devs build games around the specs of the system. But once again so what...they do that with PC gaming. Why not have it where you can increase or get better Ram later on or just get the same CPU or GPU with a higher clock speed? No doubt than in five or six years from now everyone will be bemoaning the same issue as we're hearing now...a console way behind it's time.

The problem with being able to upgrade yourself is the same that happens with the PC.
Check any forum, Steam forum, for any game and you'll always see in the top people having issues. What percentage? I don't know, people with issues is more vocal, of course.
But yeah, basically they don't need that headache.

Opening up an Xbox to "upgrade" and expecting MS to give you a warranty? Never.

For example, I have an iMac with the following system requirements:
- 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 (quad-core)
- 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
- AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB
Again, I'd rather have MS and Sony just release a heavy duty console that can last the next five-to-ten years without anyone have to buy add-ons or upgrades or what have you. We got some great results out of this generation and who only knows what we can get next generation with hardware that's at least three-to-four more times advanced.

All Microsoft really needs to do is take 2006's top-of-line hardware they used and update it to 2013's equivalents. Just take everything and (re-)turn it up to 11. Maintain backwards compatibility, offer growth for new ideas, and keep the migration for developers to a natural minimum/evolution. That's what I wish for in hardware, anything else is just bonus and needs to stay supported, encouraged, but optional.

Xbox is the only branch of Microsoft that isn't a total joke right now, but don't fret! There's still time!

What the heck is the cut-away X supposed to mean? Also, don't tell me they're using that ugly solid-color Windows 8 scheme.

IMO, there's no way the new xbox won't be themed like Win8. Expect the same metro UI as Win/WinPhone.

Yeah, the "flat" UI is here to stay. I don't like the logo... but it totally looks like a pill, so Trauma Center better be a launch title, as chuckd21 suggests.

Just more of that "Going Geen" BS...just surprise that Al Gore's name is not up there,
We've got a bank, Regions, down here and all their advertisments have this "Green & White" everywhere with people riding Green & White sissy looking bikes in commercials with some 60's tune in the background. If MS is going to make the next gen Xbox into some lean green theme machine experience...screw it. In the immortal words of Tim "Tool Time" Taylor...we need more power!!

If they were truly "going green," they'd release a console that doesn't use so much power like Nintendo has done.
The color has always been green, because they happened to have a green marker on hand when they were drawing up concepts for the console.
