Watching someone else play games is boring as hell. Only time I watch videos like that is for walkthroughs or tutorials.

It's a good reality check though. Because I now know how my wife feels when I'm like "DAMN WOMAN! You should really watch me play this!" and she's like "No, that's fucking boring you dipshit." then I says "I DO WHAT I WANT!"

Waiting for Friday.
I like how the controller feels.
FIFA 14 has a 25 character code, but no QR code... cancelling order now!

The controller has a 2 day Xbox Live code with instructions in English and French.
The game has a 3 day Xbox Live code with instructions in English and Spanish. Actually the whole game box is bilingual, English and Spanish.
None has a QR code.

Whooah, we're half way there...
Xbox One users hoping to play music from a USB stick are out of luck. Microsoft director of product planning Albert Penello confirmed on Twitter last night that this functionality will not be available when the system is released on Friday. "Not at launch," he said. It is possible that music playback from a USB stick could be added later, but Penello did not say one way or the other.
The Xbox One is DLNA compatible and will play CDs on launch day. However, like the PlayStation 4, users will not be able to store or play MP3s on the system at launch.

Before you start shitting yourselves, just remember these don't count towards gamerscore. They're just challenges, nothing more.

Yeah, no NHL makes me sad, but that means NHL '15 will be at least 1954p and 387fps, and also rated M!

There, I got all of that out of the way so we can move on to actual discussion.

console review
well, at least one page. Here's a summary someone was able to grab:
PROS
Much better streamlined dashboard/UI
Great selection and variety of launch games
The controller is a lot better (THANK THE GAMING GODS FOR THAT NEW D-PAD!)
The Kinect 2.0's body capture technology comes vastly improved
Multitasking is a breeze thanks to the Snap feature
Online gaming is a much better experience with Smart Match
The apps all perform well
Watching TV on your Xbox One just feels right
Following your friends feels a lot easier to navigate than before
The addition of media achievements and challenges is awesome
CONS
The Kinect 2.0 voice recognition technology works...most of the time
The SmartGlass app doesn't have a lot of readily compatible games/movies...yet
Crimson Dragon and LocoCycle are letdowns

Damn you guys! My Xbox is apparently still on a busy freeway in California. That, or they're just not updating my tracking to fuck with me.

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
Someone on Twitter said a Microsoft rep explained to them that some kind of fulfillment company is holding the consoles until Thursday and that's when they'll be given to UPS and the transit will really begin. This admittedly-unreliable account is actually 100% in-line with my tracking info. Basically Microsoft handed them off to the fulfillment company yesterday.

I know. I would've bought that fo sho.
